Players cannot connect to my server

Whenever I create a Server/Online Game my friends can see it but when they try to connect it asks them for a password even though I haven't set one.
I hope someone can help me with this.
I am playing TMNF

it's FreeZone. to let them join your server, share them this link: tmtp://#addfavourite=yourTMlogin. then the server will appear in favorites list, and they will be able to join it.

Is that what is causing the password problem ?

yes. free players (ones who haven't bought United) can't enter any server they want, just the FreeZone ones (you see this word in servers' names). for all others, they have to add it to favorites first.

you can tell me where's your server, I should enter it without problems, since I have United ^^ just to make sure it's the freezone thing and not smth else.

So would I be right in saying that we won't be able to create a server for ourselves and whoever else wants to play without buying united.

If this is the case then why have they included it in TMNF??

Or does it mean that when I create a room that only people with United will be able to join me ?

for yourselves - just add it in favorites. for other - you should make it a FreeZone server, google for it.
