I can only connect to Battle game modes, Why?

I bought Shootmania Storm through steam earlier today but the only games I am permitted to join are Battle type games. If i attempt to join any other game type I receive a message saying: "Unable to join this tile. Your account does not have the rights to preform this action"

How do I access other game modes like Royal?
