I keep seeing and hearing all kinds of negativity about shootmania. I want to just say a few things.

We all have our pros and cons about this game. But please keep in mind that you are playing a game that is still in the making. It is going to take time to satisfy every ones needs, and with a huge player base you can bet that not every need will be met. But if we stay positive and give our best effort to help this game grow, we sure as hell can make it one of the best.

I have trust that they will eventually create one great unique fps that tailors to the players. Trust is not a guarantee, but its something we should all have. Also, keep in mind that if your feedback is given in a negative manner, nobody is going to want to read it. Whereas if you give more positive constructive criticism then its more likely to be heard.

Hopefully by posting this we will keep the peace in the future and get a lot more accomplished in this development.

But it launched. Yesterday. It should no longer be "in the making", it should be a complete and functional game. That's what a 1.0 version and a retail launch should mean.

Well, there are several games out there that still receive content updates and are buggy after their release.
Just look at Minecraft as an example. Shootmania will constantly evolve and now that version 1.0 is "released" it doesn't mean it has to be completely bug-free or contain every freaking feature possible.
There simply is no bugless program/game (try to prove me wrong)

Also: there are AAA titles out there that were created with a much higher budget than ShootMania:Storm and are still horrible (and can't afford to program a new engine since 2008/2009 (CoD the reference? )

That's what people need to keep in mind. Nadeo totally rocked with Trackmania, so it'll be with Shootmania, thanks to great devs and also the "hylis" spirit way of work they follow. I never saw a guy and a team so close to the community and the pro or casual players.

Shootmania is a total new concept of FPS. It's totally different from Call of Duty or Counterstrike of which gameplay base exists since years and years. There are a lot of tweaks and tune for sure, but still : it's FINALLY some new stuff in the FPS world.
