Why removing new cam 2 instead of SIMPLY KEEPING BOTH?

Re: Why removing new cam 2 instead of SIMPLY KEEPING BOTH?
Instead of moving the new cam 2 to button '4', can't we just have a custom camera for button '4' which can be assigned to a personal style of view. As a person who changes the camera quite a bit, and wished there were a better choice of cameras, this would be a nice update. For instance, if I want to see what backwards, this cannot be done in an instant, and if I could make a custom cam working a rear view mirror, that'd be great.

People should read this post correctlyfLk wrote:I don't really care about the camera distance, but it's very annoying that after a loop or wall ride when the cam switches back from the 1st person view to 3rd person it's in a bad angle for a moment and then it very quickly changes back to normal, its basically shaking the whole view, if the road is not straight I usually crash because of that.
This is the only issue that keeps my from preordering the game already, please fix.
This person is not complaining about stuffed loop cams in old maps but all maps in general and I agree..
for starters I have been playing long enough to know how to use the mediatracker correctly so dont start on me either.
So I make maps have done for years and decided to make a map last night...Mediatracker time... I do everything I should after reading countless tutorials over the years. After making loop cams for the whole map I check to make sure they function properly....Oh look after that loop im looking at the front of the car for a split second oh and after that loop im looking at the top of the car oh and after that loop........So for people to say its just bad mediatracker work is not a good answer to me because its not just happening to old maps its happening to TM2 Stadium maps made in the TM2 Stadium editor....Sorry to say but this is a real issue and I am not putting an empty clip 3-4 blocks after the loop
Well that was my monthly off topic rant.
To all the people complaining about getting old cam 2 back
I bet if I searched through the forums from over a month ago will see all your names complaining about the new cam.. Yous got the old one back now you have to complain because its not the one you have got use to

Very funny indeed
I feel sorry for the people at nadeo having to read all the complaints all the time by people that probably never purchased or have never purchased a nadeo game in their life

OK I make you a videoJumperJack wrote:i don't know if i understand correctly, but if you use the time setting it will mess up the cam. the loop cam clip should be on 'keep playing', so that it never ends. when the car hits the empty trigger after the loop, however, the cam gets reset and you have a neat switch to your default cam without any bugs.Rasque wrote:PS: Maybe this whole thing has smth to do with the time setting (cam length), which isn't here in maniaplanet.

the problem is that the tm2s cam2 is more dynamicly than in tmf that should be fixed too. atm its a mix of tmf and tm2s old version.

Well, you have the word, exactly the same prob^^
And somehow, yea, even if I place it a big further, still feels strange. And there are places where I shouldn't place it that far.
But to your post Ganja, there can be seen that the timer was removed, so some human being must have been there

Thanxz for your illustration Ganjarider

What were you thinking removing it now? Most beta players have gotten used to it and for many it improved their skills. How is it a problem to add another cam like OP says? This is utter BS.
The current cam 2 is way too close, can't see anything.
Fix it, please.

oh now i get it, thanks ganja! it took a while but i understand now. that seems to be purely a bug with the new cam2 indeed. when we get the old cam back that'll be fixed, i'm sure (i usually place the empty trigger one block further, might be why i didn't notice the tilting).
also ganja, the "oops" part hylis posted, is about the fact that he wrote the cam2 change in the fixlist of the shootmania update, and not the trackmania update. we'll probably get the real change with the trackmania update.
