I'm new to racing games and can't find the answer I need
Sorry for this new topic as I'm new to "Online racing games" I see users that have set the world records on many of the tracks and I'm not sure how they are doing it. 1st let me say this before you say they are just really good players. Some of the tracks start in a straightaway and with out turning left or right with my car the record setter's car will pull away making them faster before skill becomes an issue. Now my question is are their faster cars I need to download or pay for? I've search every where trying to find answers to this. I did see some forums with people talking about hacks and that's not what I want. I've played many shooter games in the past where people hack to be the best on the score board and if that's what they are doing I'm just going to find a new game to play. Thanks to all for any information on this...good or bad

Yea I do and I have a super computer as well so it's not PC or internet lag. Thanks that's what I figure, but I wanted to make sure it's wasn't some car unlock or something. Well leave it to the hackers to mess up another good game guess I will go find something else to play now...Omnixor wrote:do you press gas already on 3..2..1..? ^^ if you do, these are cheaters indeed...

Do you really mean only straight tarmac road without anything else? Then this is strange indeed. I ask, because even little things can get you a benefit, like a little downpart at start (you can swerve a little to not lose road contact) or a road-dirt-transition (it`s faster when you drive it at the outer part). I just mean, there are many ways to get more speed at some points. But there are no "faster cars" indeed.

Yea take all the skill out of it just hit the gas button; no other buttons and their cars will pull ahead from the start. It's not a big jump start it's a slow gain but noticeable. I have a high-end pc with a really high FPS and fast internet connection that lets me see it better then my friends computer. We see it on both but it's easier to make out on mine. The issue I see with these cars pulling away in a straightaway is who knows just how much time they will gain over the full track. I think before I run to another game I may try to make an HD videos of this and send it to support. Maybe they will have a better answer. I think this could be a cheat or maybe it's got something to do with client/server connection. I'm not sure at this point what it is, I'm only sure that it is there and noticeable.

your problem is not cheaters for sure. If you are playing Stadium, the game is in beta, maybe you are having some techincal issues.

In a straight track it is really hard to tell if you are actually slower, I don't think it is possible to make the car go faster, but you can see the car going faster without it in reality being faster.
He might have started slightly before you, depending on the cam you use(cam3) you may not see it start before you. But even then times won't be affected your time counter has also started after his. This doesn't happen on Rounds mode but can happen in TA. TM is based on equality for all players so you may change car skins but not the speed or handling or even the size of the car.
There are a lot of small tricks to get the car faster even in a straight track, for example going in the Turbos slightly diagonally will increase your speed.
If you remember the name of the track we might be able to tell you what you should try to gain speed?

anyway, there are no cheaters in Canyon, and if there were in any time, they didn´t last for long. (I never saw one live in 1 year playing Canyon)

+1 Oliver : I think the same. Sometimes you just load the next game a bit faster or slower than others, so the time everybody starts, their's a slight delay. I've got 100mb/s, and usually, I start a bit in front of some other players.
