Yeah, the server software can do LAN.

I read somewhere on the forums, that if you contact Nadeo rep, they can supply trial packs for LAN Party Hosting. I just can't find the thread. They even supply T-Shirts, prizes, swag in general.

Well, it's called "create" rather than "host game", but you definitely can do it. Moreover, you can host a LAN and an internet server in-game, depending on what you need.
