Hey guys. John Clark here... also with IGL (International Gaming League). I may have met some of you at PAX actually. Anyway, I wanted to touch base on a few things being discussed here as well. As Eyal stated, IGL is very much about supporting SM as well as other games that draw on the 'base' (amateur) levels to drive activity and cultivate the growth of a game title's community. The idea behind what IGL is doing with every title, that we support, is creating 'tier's (levels)' at which gamers can elevate their skill levels. One of the biggest issues with growth in any game is the learning curve, the communities welcoming in new users and the competition levels available to the community. After 15 years in the industry and running hundreds of events.. it has become apparent to me that real growth starts with a 'bottom-up' approach. IGL is sustaining this approach through tiered ladders, divisional leagues and tournaments open to all skill levels. Below I have included our Competitions Structure info graphic for your viewing pleasure.

I hope that the infographic can easily outline the structure and format that IGL will be approaching each community with.
IGL is very excited to be a part of the community and we hope that by working directly with each community that we can better tailor our approach and cultivate a sustained growth.
Thank you all for the support and look for more news regarding our ladder for SM and Launch Tournaments coming soon!
