Re: [Blocks]Well... Blocks
Because how would you drive? Unless the antigrav blocks simply blow you up in the air, like jump without a ramp. But in that case, make it semi-realistic...add fans under the track. Blow the car up in the air, LOL

these could be used in some space located envir. like on a Galactic station for exampleerrorzinvalid wrote:I've been thinking there should be a "sticky" or "traction" blocks.

Re: [Blocks]Well... Blocks
If these kinds of blocks were made i believe that it would be the kind of thing that would send Trackmania into the category or "Ridiculous Games" instead of the category it is in now which is "Insane Games".

Re: [Blocks]Well... Blocks
I will extend the idea.
The best idea is to don't have boosts, free wheelings, etc. represented by certain blocks in editor.
What about zones? You could point every block (straight, curve, loop, even decoration) and set its properties.
Types could be:
- standard (most common one, without any special abilities),
- boost (the tarmac gets covered by yellow arrows - works as accelerator known from TM1),
- free wheeling (the same, but now with red stripes which cut your engine),
- grip zone (car is sticked to the road; can be used as anti-gravity zone, idea is metioned above),
- powerdrift (the drift is forced, the car slides like coastcar after sharp turn on fullspeed; btw. not my idea... mentioned by someone),
- etc.

Re: [Blocks]Well... Blocks
that is a good idea sebik. personally i think that the idea that we can import blocks is a bad one. i prefer the challenge of having the same pallet as everyone else in TM and still being able to come up with something new and creative
If we could import our own blocks the game would degenerate into chaos. example: "oh this landing block is not giving me the smooth landing i want, instead of playing around with the blocks some more and maybe using some creativity why don't i go and make myself a block that will do this for me."
Point made?

Re: [Blocks]Well... Blocks
i think it will be awesome
you just need quite a big amount of creativity to make the block you need
you want it to look nice, but it also needs to be functional.
Great blocks could appear
