Help - Block Resizing

Hey folks,

I have been playing around with the map editor for a while now and cannot find the key combination to resize a block.

For example, I would like to make an archway that I am placing to be wider.
Is there a way to "stretch" the block? If so can someone provide me with the key combination to do so.

I read multiple editor Tutorials etc and cannot find anything about this.

easy answer:
it's not possible

most of the blocks have different variants but you can't resize them manually
