How to put my own music in Trackmania Canyon

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if I can put my own music when I play Trackmania 2, on the official tracks. I know that you had to go in a specific folder in Trackmania 1 to put your songs, but I don't know which one it is in Trackamania 2. Can somebody help me ?

Why don't you just turn off the ingame music and run your favorite musicplayer in the background? Why bother with maniaplanet playing your songs?

I am sorry, i am not trying to bother anyone, I just know that it was possible to replace the official songs by your own music in Trackmania United, and i just wanted to know if it was also possible to do it in Trackmania 2. If not, then of course I will find another way. But thanks for your answer

You must use .ogg music file.

Just drop musics on this folder:
c:\Users\[your username]\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Media\Musics\Canyon\Race
c:\Users\[your username]\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Media\Musics\Menu

You can be more specific and drop the files in each subfolder:

ManiaPlanet\Media\Musics\Canyon\Race\Day
ManiaPlanet\Media\Musics\Canyon\Race\Sunrise


I don't know how to disable vanilla music. My songs plays with vanilla songs. I want to play just my custom songs. If anyone know how to disable or delete vanilla music, I will appretiate it.

I'm sorry, that's not really what I ment. I ment, why go through all that trouble of converting files, figuring out where to put them, if you can just play them with anything you like in the background?

I'll answer that.

First of all, because it's possible, and that's fun to do.

Secondly, I like to see the game being aware of which music to play, having specific music for menu or night race for example.

Yap, same with me. Plus I like to see what Trackmania itself does with my own music.

Sort of an excersize in something like curiosity. Sort of... a little... well, not really.
