If you configure the dedicated server for online (internet) gaming, you need a valid online user for the "masterserver_account" settings.
And you cannot run the dedicated server at the same time as the client (the regular ManiaPlanet game) with the same login.
Regarding the "corrupt" message, I don't know, sorry.

Re: LAN problems - "You need these blocks: Podium (in storm)
I used the command line switch to run the dedicated server: /forceip=LAN
Re: LAN problems - "You need these blocks: Podium (in storm)
for pure local play you don't even need this parameter. just launch it like the example batches show

Re: LAN problems - "You need these blocks: Podium (in storm)
Fair enough but then why does it seem like the game wants to force me to use all online accounts just to get LAN working?
Re: LAN problems - "You need these blocks: Podium (in storm)
I don't know what you are doing and what you have configured
If you download the actual dedicated server and only enter a server name and adapt the game type and the maplists, this runs fine.
No users needed.

According to the dedicated server page (http://wiki.maniaplanet.com/en/Dedicated_servers) you need to create a dedicated login on your player page
So are you saying it's actually not necessary?

Re: LAN problems - "You need these blocks: Podium (in storm)
a online login is only required for all online activities.
If you create a dedicated server that shall convey the times and records (mostly using plugins like DediMania etc.), only then you need a separate online login for the server. This login you have to enter in the player page, and you have to pay some Planets, to make the server appear in the online list of servers.
The pure Nadeo dedicated server itself also allows to run without any login, just run local for a LAN setup inside your home.
You can play on tracks/maps, but you cannot have times, medals and records uploaded.

Ok so I guess the wiki page doesn't tell you the full picture.
Do you have a dedicated server config file that's guaranteed to work for pure LAN play?

!?
Please just download the raw Dedicated Server, latest version here,
and follow the instructions I gave you above in this thread, and run it.
I told you I don't have a specific configuration, I took what was provided with the zip.
Where is the problem now?
