Races! (with colisions)

Post by DANTE_52 »

time trial mode is good, but if they could add a simple colision between the players, that will be awesome!
with this, servers could make championships and more things with diferent maps (something like derby  )

also i saw another suggestion about an starting grid, this will be like an addition
i'm spanish,my english is bad xD

bad idea imo,
how about start blocks ? How would be a server running this mode with 100 players ?

It's potentially going to be added later as an option...and it wouldn't be impossible with large numbers of players, just different.

We said it 1000000000000000000000000000000 times, no collisions between players or Nadeo ghosts...

Maybe it will be possible to create something like this using Maniascript, but it's not Mania-like to have collisions in TrackMania. That's my opinion.
And it was all the plan of...MR.TROLOLO GUY!

The reason me (and probably many others) want collisions in TM is because of the replay possibilities. So many games these days are not only leaving the PC in the dust in favor of technologically inferior -consoles- :x but they're also slicing out a number of features in order to make the games 'fit' on the console's limited memory--such as replay features. TM is not only PC-exclusive, but it cuts nothing from the features--in fact, it has a number of features games have -never- had, such as a full video-editor, the ability to build custom cars from scratch, and a full scripting interface to create your own flavor of Trackmania. Like I've said before, if Trackmania were to add collisions, it would go from being one of my top racing games, to the only racing game I would ever own. Period.

It would only work if you could crash into "replays", which I think would be pretty damn awesome ;D
