Just keeping an eye on this: http://mania-actu.com/eng/staticpages/v ... Statistics
You can see that player number has significantly decreased just yesterday, and it probably will be same today (Last stats at 3pm say 228 players where even yesterday had 428 and the day before over 500)
Just about this, the number of TrackMania² Stadium players is stable in comparaison of the last days.

If there is less players on the servers, that's because a lot of them are playing the solo campaign. Once the campaign done, the number of players on the servers will increase

@FrostBeule economically speaking it would be the best to turn off Trackmania Nations Forever. Because some people will actually buy TMUF or Trackmania 2 Stadium after they can't play TMNF for free anymore ( = profit) and the other ones will just stop playing the game ( no profit anyway, because the game was/ is free).

And as far as I see this - didany really good eSport player not buy TMUF? Is there really any top eSport player, who still only has the free version?

Anyway now you could say somebody downloads TMNF, plays it, likes it, google it, sees that there is a successor (Tm2 Stadium) and buys it. But is that really the main reason why TMNF is still free?

I don't think so. It's just Nadeo being so nice to remain TMNF free. Yes there are restrictions but again it's free.

@complainers

And then I can't stand those *** complaining that Tm2 Stadium costs 10 euros. Where is the deal? This company provided you a very nice game for free for years.

You shouldn't say "fu** nadeo for charging me", you should say "thanks nadeo for letting me play for free for years". You know Nadeo could have implented massive advertisements in the TMNF in order to get money. But they didn't. They only had some sponsors as far as I know. And even after they released the successor, they still give you TMNF for free. After all this years.

So fuck those people. Seriously. Talking about a "great community", but don't want to spend the creators of the community 10 euros. I don't call you (the complainers) a part of the community. Because real community members would support their own community. But you guys are just selfish bastards.

Sorry for this drastic words, but this has had to be said.

I had the honor to participate in the alpha of Canyon. I didn't like it. I complained in the forum. But this is a different complainment, it's just about the personal prefference. I just didn't like the handling of Canyon.

However I bought Canyon. Why? Nadeo did great work with Canyon ( I just didn't like the handling and again that is not Nadeo's fault), I wanted to support them. I don't play Canyon anymore, but I am happy that I could support the developers just a little bit with 20 euros. And don't bullshit us with "I don't have 10 euros". The excuse "no payment method available in my country to buy it" is maybe the only legit reason.

If you have a computer ( which costs lot of money), you have an internet connection, you have electricity, then you will have enough money to buy the game. If not go do some work/job in order to get it.

Did i say i won't buy tm² ? No.
I bought tmuf, and i will buy Tm² Stadium, and I believe that i am part of this community more than many players, i know pretty much all of the TM² Fullspeed community, i speak to them, I take initiatives to revive this community (My team is organising a hugs FS tournament in october, even if it will probably have to be smaller because of what happenned)
If I was not part of this community, i would not be complaining today.
And i'm sure i can find lots of top players who did not buy TMUF, some got it maybe for free because of sponsors, but i'm 100% sure i could find 10 of them, without any problem.

That's pretty bad then, during beta i was one of the first one to say that number of players will increase after game is out, however if it does not then you can not count more than 5000 active (Active meaning spending at least 2hours/week playing it, which is not much) players. That's a real issue for a game that's centered on the community, community that has considerably reduced at a point where i barely ever see new players in game.

Frostbeule, i could not agree more, i remember having a discussion with you about that a few weeks back, well i can say you definitely are right, eSport for Trackmania will slowly disappear, as competitive scene is divided. In the last year number of players in ESL has reduced much, and that will be much accelerated from now on with community weakened.

I didn't talk about you. More in general. I am not only referring to this forum. I am reading on some other random gaming websites about Trackmania and also some chats ingame TMUF judging about Tm2 Stadium.

For those interested, here's just some of the new blocks and new ground variants that were added to the game with the release. So many new possibilities! :3

I agree with you and I bought plenty of keys and if you have the means , buy it. The only thing I feel sad about is that in certain countries it is near impossible to buy the game online and it's not available in the local shops. If I look at the Africa continent in a whole now, there are a handful of players.

Just me 2 cents :P but I'm currently helping out some guys, hope the contribution works out :pil

I just want to say thank you Nadeo for bringing Stadium (especially Dirt :D ) into the new world! Now I hope for a bright future.
The only thing left, is bringing people to the game. And I don`t just mean all the TMUF player, but also new fresh meat.
I read everywhere that the old player will stay in TMUF, because of the little changes and the 10 bucks, but what about new player, who never heared of the game before. The old times, 5 years back, were so great, because there were so many people playing this game, but these people partially moved on and don`t play games anymore.
So, to all out there: If you love this game, gogo and advertise it, wherever possible. I really believe, that Maniaplanet ist the future for Stadium ;)
