Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
I recently upgraded my server with AdminServ 2.0.5 and I must say it's a really nice update (coming from 2.0.3).
I love the cache feature, my local folders now load instantly!
However I seem to have an annoying bug. It happens for maps with a ' character in their name (not the filename). If those maps are already in a folder, AdminServ displays the folderlist correctly and all is good.
But the problem happens if I try either to upload a new map with that symbol, or delete one from the menu. Once I've done that, I get a red "malformed JSON" error each time I try to list the folder the map was in. And then, the only way to get back to normal is to delete the corresponding .json file in the AdminServ cache folder.
I hope that helps, and keep up the good work!
EDIT: Actually it also happens with other maps, I don't really know why... And as before, if I delete the cache file it's OK and the cache file is generated again correctly.
EDIT 2: I tried to play with the new 'mapsbasepath' in the servers.cfg.php and it's a good idea, but if I set a different base path for different servers, they still generate the same mapslist-.json file in the cache folder, and then this file gets corrupted because it gathers data from different folders.

Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
Both problems did not occur to me when testing version 2.0.5
Can you list a tmx/mx map here for me to try replicate your error?

Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
Yes! It's already fixed in the next versionzargono wrote:EDIT 2: I tried to play with the new 'mapsbasepath' in the servers.cfg.php and it's a good idea, but if I set a different base path for different servers, they still generate the same mapslist-.json file in the cache folder, and then this file gets corrupted because it gathers data from different folders.

I will test cache functionality with ' character in map name.
Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
I also had trouble with some tracks.
And also got the Json error, something with utf-8.
I know the track what caused it :

I tested more tracks with strange signatures, they all fail.

Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
Ok, I have fixed this bug. You can do this method:
- Select all files, and click to "Rename"
- Click to "Replace the special characters"
- if error, rename manualy map file and delete cache file

Re: [Tool] AdminServ 2.0.5
Well I found what's happening to me and actually it happens with every map.
Here's what I'm doing to provoke the bug:
- Create a new folder
- Upload a map in that folder
- View local folder content
-> The cache file should be generated
- Upload a second map in the folder
- View local folder again, then parent folder and go back in the folder to refresh
-> When the cache file is updated, it gets corrupted
When viewing the cache file I found that its content is not properly overwritten when I upload my new map. It just adds the new content after the old one without deleting.
Here is what should be the "good" cache file:
And here is my corrupted cache file:
