Recently bought TM2: Valley and playing the heck out of it.
It reminds me a lot of the time attack mode in Rush 2049, very enjoyable.
I was wondering if it was possible to change the Opacity of the other cars in the Solo Campaign. So instead of being completely invisible when they are on top of you, they would be transparent like your own ghost is on the track. If this is an option could someone please point me to it, if not I think it would be a great addition to the game.
Also, why is there an "Official" race setting. It's quite frustrating to have the run of your life in Practice and nothing to show for it cause it doesn't count towards the top 10 times since you can only do one Official every 5 minutes... I assume it's to prevent cheating and hacking, but It just doesn't seem like it would prevent that from happening.

Re: Questions about TM2: Valley
The first idea is nice, semi-transparent opponents. Their transparency could increase the nearer the car is.
But please do not do this in replays.
The second was already there with Canyon.
It is there to sort out the lucky random shots.
Now you need to train hard to get the official times.
So it makes sense to have a countdown. However 5 minutes is certainly too much for a map that takes only 20~30s.

By lucky random shots, I assume you mean. Crashing into something that sends you flying over part of the course into the finish line? I can see that, I have one track in mind where I think this is possible in Valley. D07.
And yea, don't need the transparency in replays. Just the Race mode. I like to see the line my opponents are taking when I am learning a track in Solo, but that can't be done if they disappear completely when I am keeping pace with them :<

Re: Questions about TM2: Valley
enter the configurations before opening the game, there you will find the option to put the opponents "always visible", your own ghost will be transparent, but the opponent ghost doesnt have this feature, but it won´t hide anymore.
about the 5min, search the forum and you will find a topic with long discussion about it.
also, you can upload your best time on mania-exchange, they have a ladder there too, where you can post your real best time. All Valley Nadeo tracks will be there:

So what is the point of Planets? I assume they are some kind of currency, but I have not see anywhere to use them.

you can use them to purchase skins, titles, object packs etc. ingame.EmulsifyTO wrote:So what is the point of Planets? I assume they are some kind of currency, but I have not see anywhere to use them.
Usually the payment request appears bevor download when you click on ManiaLinks.
And it appears if you want to use skins after you installed them.
The prices are ususally moderate, e.g. 5 Planets for a skin.
Besides this, with Planets you can have ladder servers, but this is relatively "costly", and then you still need have a good server so people donate willingly.
