But I still try to find some similarities, so I can image better how the game will be ;)

but if you want to know

Computer Bild Spiele says:

Die Fahrzeuge fühlen sich im Vergleich zum Vorgänger ein wenig schwerer an

The vehicles feel (compared to the previous version) a bit more heavier.

Ill qoute my post from the Environment thread ^^

"What i like with previous TrackMania environments, is the way the traction between cars and track is. It feels so real, right there, real-time, full contact, no delay. And what makes each car/environment unique, is their different ability to slide/not slide.

After having looked at the teaser and trailer, it seems Canyon will continue this great feeling, with an awesome slide added to it. Looks actually alot like Island slide, but maybe not as fast as this. So maybe a mix between stadium and island

Cant wait to feel the Canyon surface!!"

Yeah, would be really interesting to see, how the slide is to mange. Hopefully it will be a nice mix between island noslide and stadium slide. This would really rock. But as there are over 150 factors influencing the driving,we will have a lot to learn and maybe it's not comparable to any kind of driving style we had before (which would be great), even if there are similarities.

I'm just going to hope that the car's handling (and especially its lost of grip) is predictable ... I find driving most of trackmania's cars too hard because I can never know how far I can steer before the car suddenly snaps (and we all know when TM's cars lose their grip, they completely lose it  )

I'd honestly prefer it similar to stadium, but don't hate on me for that. It's just because that's all I'm good at xD

stadium is the best handling experience for most TM drivers so i am hoping the 1st environment is atleast similar to an extent. i would of course enjoy a slightly new feel but some of united's environments were no where near as popular as they should of been because the car felling and handling was crap to put it bluntly

because of that i am only going to buy an environment if i get to test it 1st or see someone else drive it who i know what style and limits they can drive

Personally, I liked the other enviros...Bay was probably my favorite and least-raced, unfortunately. :( But hopefully Canyon will be a completely new experience with no ties to any of the previous enviros.

Well to be simple my favourite environments are Bay and Coast (Bay because of the similarities to Stadium, also the huge city-esque levels you can build) and Coast because of the simulation, drifting and of course, the silly stunts :P

But Stadium's car is by far the easiest to drive, because the handling is more forgiving. It's just that with the other environments, you have only a very limited area of control for the car (in other words, you're only able to move the analog stick just slightly else the car will slide) whereas even in realistic games the game tailors the car's maximum steering angle at high speed, to give you more freedom in moving the analog.

If that makes sense.

I do hope that Canyon is unique. But I hope also that Nadeo are able to make the handling of the car easy to keep under control at speed, because that was always my problem with TM's other environments.

I'm hoping the handling isn't too far from the Stadium handling - which has kept me entertained for years and even after 4 or so years of playing I'm still discovering new things (although maybe that's because I'm a bad player  )

From looking at the trailer - particularly the in game footage - it does appear to be closest to stadium than other environments - looks like it has the same feel. Although is hard to tell from just a trailer.

Either way - the game is looking fantastic and I canna wait to get my mits on it.
