Shootmania is supposed to be a skill-basedgame right?
So why do we still have nucleus that will explode even when they don't hit you? Their nuclear explosion when they touch the ground is not enough?
Also arrows are a rage-forging-machine very often.
What I mean is that nucleus are fine to set traps and to trick people behind hiding spots, arrows are totally fine at mid-long range but both are spam weapons when used at close range. You just can't escape from that random apocalyptic firework of glowing unknown matter.
What do you think? Have you ever raged for this kind of situation?

This doesn't appear as problem to me. I'm fine with how weapons work in combo.
Re: [combo] Nucleus & arrows
Skill isn't the only thing to master, you should master brain/your weapons so they are importants.
Try to Believe.

Re: [combo] Nucleus & arrows
The post about thinking is more true for other modes like siege, where you can often surprise your opponents from behind etc, but even in combo these weapons reload quite slowly, so the point is to make every shot count. This does lead to spamminess in short range though.

Blah blah say anything you want, combo is perfect.
If you have too many arrows against you it probably means
- that you have not taken enough arrows
- the map has more than 2 arrow items

Re: [combo] Nucleus & arrows
I can't really say anything about combo, since I haven't played it enough. But at least in siege the nucleus is really annoying. An unavoidable camp/rush weapon that is way too OP in these two situations (mostly because of fast reload).
Problem is that I think it is too hard to nerf it and still have use for it. So it's either keep it as OP as it is or nerf it to uselessness.

Re: [combo] Nucleus & arrows
There are a lot of maps with 2 arrows + 1 nucleus so in 1.5 - 2 minutes (let's say you take 1 arrow and 1 nuceus) you could have 2 nucleus & arrow for every player so 8 area weapons that can be easily used to rush people without aiming, what can the other team do? Avoid you for the rest of the time trying to shoot you with weapons that are more difficult to use because of the precision required and the slow reload (laser/rocket)? I'm not surprised that a lot of people prefers to play elitekillaprodtm wrote:Blah blah say anything you want, combo is perfect.

I think it's fine in siege for attackers who know the map and know where they should expect risks from in general. Then you have to think to surprise them. Obviously you can get a few hits without that by shooting into crowds from mid-long range, but that's much less effective.
Bonfi:
killaprod's point was that you should take these weapons as well. Getting an advantage in weaponry is a key part of the mode. Also, nuc + arrow reloads slowly as well, so they cannot be spammed constantly. One player might get killed like that easily, then the other is still alive and the match continues. For two players of a team to be killed, I think nuc+arrow is very rarely enough.
