i don't care if the game will be avaible on a DVD-Box or it will be avaible as download.
I care a lot about "avaibliness" on my country! In other words:
Doesn't matter if it will be only in DVD-Box, but i hope that i will find it on my stores!
If not, i hope that will be also a download version ;)

I vote for both boxed and dowload versions - as long as I can get a boxed version in Canada :?

I had some unfortunate timing with TMU where EB Games stopped carrying it just before I was able to buy...
I ended up buying a copy from a friend who couldn't get the game to install and couldn't return it (likely because the store wasn't carrying it anymore). But the result was it took me three years from its release for me to get it.

And I can only buy online if there is a PayPal option that doesn't require instant transfers. For the same reason I can't buy on Steam.

So here's hoping for a boxed version in Canadian stores and better timing on my part - considering that Ubisoft does have a Canadian branch (HQ?) that may not be so far-fetched.

Anyway the voting is practise for the federal election tonight :P.

So apparently this may still be up in the air, and this poll may matter (I wish I could change my vote now  ) But my opinion is I'm in favor of both a boxed and download version, because even in this day and age, not everyone has mega-fast technology that can download what is sure to be a large game such as Trackmania 2, or multiple large games over the course of the Maniaplanet releases. However, I'm also in agreement that we should be kind to the environment as well...so it comes to mind that Maniaplanet should be sold in those smaller boxes (I call them Jewel Cases :P ) that games used to be sold in before the advent of multi-CD titles and large boxes popularized by Halo. That way you have a smaller box, less paper, and you could save on paper even further by making the documentation a .pdf file on CD. Even if you just make a single copy for Nadeo yourself and then scan it into .pdf, that would work as well.

I was just pointing that there are more and more solutions to pay on-line. We also have an experience with United that sold some units in digital distribution :)
Yes but was this not because we were all greedy and wanted to get our hands on it faster than making the trip to some shops only to find they did not stock it yet?
I know i did and i always regret not getting the boxed version :( seriously i do..... i really want to have a boxed version this time round even if it meant that its to be activated through Steam because at least that way i will still have a pretty box to show off and wont have to rely on my shoddy internet connection and speeds just to be able to feast my eyes on the game and join in the fun with my fellow OTMB'ers and the rest of the community
Please look back at previous mishaps not only linked with TMU where the servers where temporarily down but also Ubisofts big Server crashes with assassins creed 2 of which everyone knows was out of action for over 2 weeks
You can not rely on servers and secure connections alone and if the servers do go then it only encourages more hacks just so people can enjoy why the bought..... please look close and in detail

Ubisoft is destroying Trackmania, and the choice of the only online version is the beginning  ! In this way, only who have both a credit card and a fast internet connection can get the game, and maybe Ubi will get back only a small part of all the money spent for the Maniaplanet project. I bought all Trackmania games, but if the situation don't change, I will not buy Trackmania²! Maybe I will only download torrents and similar, yes I cannot play online, but is not my priority. And Ubi wants this! F*** you Ubi!

Ma quante cagate stai dicendo?

Anybody knows how will be sold and what ubi will do about the game.
Im pretty sure that nadeo will defend the "style" do distribute Trackmania2. Ubi has some rights, but the game is not made by Ubi.. so...

Mind your language please, post in English and use decent words.

If you would have read this topic you would have seen that Nadeo is working on online payment methods without creditcards.

Making no boxed version is also a thought of Nadeo. This idea is not from ubi. Nadeo thinks about it. So don't call ubi bad... ;)
