Alinoa, thank you for you reply.
No, i am not running the game through steam. I run the latest download from the playerpage.
I have not tried to lowered the graphical settings and the reason for that is that the game run on 200+ fps (except for these lagspikes) on all very high. So, because of this i have vsync enabled and my pc should be able to run this game without problems.
I know you are trying you best but several types of lag have been reported by other users as well.
[TM S2] Open question to Nadeo, are you fixing my issues?

"Nice" and "VeryNice" shader quality uses a deferred render path (to apply 2d-decals as volume and dynamic lights).Pedal wrote: Graphics quality/improved AA:
As i run TMS2 on the highest settings (mostly), as you all know, FXAA, is the only AA available. FXAA is just plain ugly, sorry. If i set "Antialising" to "None" it is like going back to the 90's. If i try to force Another AA (CSAA) from Nvidia CP it simply makes a mess of the whole thing as it seems it is unsupported? My whole screen is just "vibrating" as Nvidia CP tries to apply AA "on the run".
It is established that the "only" AA available on "high" and "Very high" shaders is FSAA and that this has issues.
A deferred renderer is incompatible with MSAA under DirectX9 (or the cost would be too high).
This is a well known draw back of this technique seen also in many other recent games.
One solution would be a DirectX11 version of ManiaPlanet (currently only DirectX9 is supported).
Looking at your Ctr+F7 screenshot, it looks like one of the last bar takes around twice more time, I'm not sure of the name of this bar:Pedal wrote: In-Game lag/Pauses
I am having these short freezes when playing and they make you f.ex. loose the line in a turn. Several people have mentioned this issue or similar issues here and here but nothing seems to happen?
So, going back to the top, will i abe able to join my team for the coming competitions and events: 1) Confirmed as issues? 2) Confirmed it is beeing worked on? 3) A timeschedule for when the issues can be resolved?
Thanks in advance!
PS: As this is a direct question and post to Nadeo, the developer, i kindly ask other users (incl. mods) to not reply and clog up this thread. As i see it, only Nadeo are able to fix this and hence, the only once beeing able to give a proper answer.
PSS: If any relevance, my pc-spec: Evga X58 Classified3, i7 950 @3.8ghz, 12gb Dominator GT ram, Corsair ForceGT SSD, Evga 580 GTX in 2-SLI, X-Fi titanium Fatality soundcard, Logitech Z5500 speakers, Dell u2711 27" monitor @ 2560x1440.
Could you shot the screen again with the bar name display : let the mouse pointer on the bar which size is bigger to show its name ?
What is your cpu/gpu synchro mode ?
Does theses lags also comes without SLI ?
Thanks

Thank you for the reply and explanation LuckyBoy.
With regards to your explanation of the FXAA, i really see no Point in investigating further into the spike-lags, posting more screenshots etc.
I would really consider doing a change to this, weather it's DX11 or any other possible solution to get a functioning and good looking AA-up and running. I am far from the only one who dislikes the FXAA.
This at least answered and confirmed one of my questions and it's really no Point for me to keep playing TM2S then as i feel TMF, except for the lighting in TM2S, still looks and sound better.
Good luck moving forward, i really, really hope you will be able to one day succeed with your ManiaPlanet-project.

Re: [TM S2] Open question to Nadeo, are you fixing my issues
I have short freezes. Never came up until I reinstalled the PC with Windows 7 Ultimate (which I also had before), Corsair ForceGT SSD and Steam. The freezes are both in TM2 Stadium and TMNU the latter of which is not on Steam but an independent box product. Going offline with Steam did not rid me of the problems in TMNU 100% but being offline I don't get them EVERY round.Corsair ForceGT SSD
I'd look into HDD vs SSD once again. I have three rigs with respectively Kingston, Corsair and Intel SSD-s and I seem to experience these momentary freezes on all of them. I had none with HDD-s.
Re: [TM S2] Open question to Nadeo, are you fixing my issues
Thanks for the input but sorry, i don't Believe it has anything to do with an SSD instead of HDD. All my other games and applications, incl TMUF, are running flawllessly without any lags or distortions. This happens ONLY in TM2S for me.
I am also on a fresh (1 month old) install of Win 8 and the SSD is secure-erased and formatted according to spec. I am not running TM through Steam.
