Bad API Password... ???

Post by giu »

I had a running dedicated server, wiht XASECO and ManiaLive. ML using nothing but the freezone plugin and the xaseco-integration thing.

I changed NOTHING!!! but restarted the server this morning.

Now on every join or leave of any player i get this Message:

Freezone: Bad API Password. Check your configuration... and manialink freezone:servers

so i checked:

my configuration is perfect as it was

checking the manialink it does not tell me any password, but i was able to change the API password to a new one, which i did. Afterwards i change my config the new password, killed ML, restarted ML, but still i get his error message.

Now what?

finally i find this in my manialive's logfile:

Code: Select all

 -> ManiaLib\Rest\Exception with code 401
    Authentication failed, check your credentials.
  - in /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLib/Rest/Client.php on line 173
  - Stack: #0
      /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLivePlugins/Freezone/Freezone/Plugin.php(56
      4): ManiaLib\Rest\Client->execute('PUT', '/freezone/rules...', Array)
           #1 [internal function]:
      ManiaLivePlugins\Freezone\Freezone\Plugin->onEndChallenge(Array, Array,
      false, false, false)
           #2
      /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLive/DedicatedApi/Callback/Event.php(28):
      call_user_func_array(Array, Array)
           #3
      /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLive/Event/Dispatcher.php(52):
      ManiaLive\DedicatedApi\Callback\Event->fireDo(Object(ManiaLivePlugins\Fre
      ezone\Freezone\Plugin))
           #4
      /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLive/DedicatedApi/Connection.php(108):
      ManiaLive\Event\Dispatcher::dispatch(Object(ManiaLive\DedicatedApi\Callba
      ck\Event))
           #5
      /TMN/ManiaLive/libraries/ManiaLive/Application/AbstractApplication.php(14
      3): ManiaLive\DedicatedApi\Connection->executeCallbacks()
           #6 /TMN/ManiaLive/bootstrapper.php(19):
      ManiaLive\Application\AbstractApplication->run()
           #7 {main}
from what i understand this says nothing more but my FreeZone-Login-Data is incorrect. Great, since i know it is correct.

Yes, the "Bad API PW" message is displayd to admins only, but it still effects FreeZone player, that are being kicked off the server everytime the message displayes.

Bad!

Okay,

after observing this crap for a while it at least doesn't kick any freezone-player no more. I still habe that annoying message telling me my API password would be wrong.

I can't tell if it is ManiaLive or the FreeZone Plugin or maybe the Nadeo API which is causing the problem, but i can tell that i do not feel, like i did something wrong. Pretty damn sure.

We had (x)aseco for a long time now and there always have been some minor bugs that really didnt have much impact at all. (x)aseco is a great server tool and currently i don't see why anyone should use ManiaLive. From what i experience and from what i read i assume this whole ManiaLive thing is not worth realeasing yet but being forced to use this for freezone servers!

Please "legalize" a FreeZone Plugin for (x)aseco!!!

might be a problem with testmod is it set true or false?

Also set in config file the password of freezone as described.
