As explained in another topic (that why multiple posting is bad), as with every system anti cheat system there is a delay when banning a cheater.
If it's reported in game, we are almost sure that a cheater will be banned.
And yep, he is already banned.

Re: Anti-Cheat-Tool
As magnetik just wrote : a delay between cheat detection and mail warning/ban is very useful.
If we were to apply immediate action when detecting cheat, it would make cheat creation far more easy :
One who wants to create a cheat would try some settings, go on a server, play a few minutes and know fore sure if the cheat is detected or not. And go on to the next setting with another account.
But if you wait before taking action, say one week (just an example), creating a cheat becomes a tedious task : you have to play with cheat without changing its settings throughout the week, because if the settings change one can not know which ones triggered the AC. Add a bit of randomness to this delay, and it becomes harder still.
Of course the downside is that during this time, there's people whose games are ruined by a cheater... Yet to the best of my knowledge, every anti-cheat solution apply such delays.
So of course, you can found videos one cheater spanning over a few days, and it's a shame. But this solution is probably better overall don't you think ?
If one were to find 2 vids of the same cheater separated by a longer amount of time, that may show a real flaw in our anti-cheat system. We're trying our very best to avoid that, and if you happen to know of such cases, it would greatly help us to report them. Also, continue using the report feature in game, and don't forget to check the option to send the replay with the report, it helps us loads.
EDIT : Also, if there was no anti-cheat at all and Nadeo didn't care, don't you think there would be far more cheaters ? In my memories, games without AC were full of cheaters, e.g it was near impossible to play one hour on non-protected servers without seeing a blatant speedhack/aimbot/whatever on CS1.5

True, a name-and-shame list as esl makes it for various games would definitely helpsheano wrote:
But seriously just make those Cheater Ban´s official, so that everyone can see it and there will be more trust in Nadeo and that there is really an Anti-Cheat-Tool. To be honest i just think that there is no Tool and that´s also the Reason why we see so much weird stuff in the Cups atmI hope this will be changed very soon!
Re: Anti-Cheat-Tool
if nadeo is crazy they can do that, but be sure if there will be somebody listed who doesn't want it, nadeo get fucked hard in court.Joader wrote: True, a name-and-shame list as esl makes it for various games would definitely help

Re: Anti-Cheat-Tool
ESL never got sued for their name-and-shame lists.
They usually only post the last known nickname in their news, and only the first two to three digits of the account ID's.
Would be a bit harder to do for NADEO here, because it's a bit harder to protect the "privacy" of players if you fully post their game account.

Re: Anti-Cheat-Tool
no mercy for cheaters :p?
I take it NADEO only bans cheaters if they are 100% so players chan sue all the want...? Or am I wrong?

The neverending waiting game has to stop.
Re: Anti-Cheat-Tool
This is nothing but wrong on every account. Not to mention no one has the right to sue (that is, they have the right to try and sue, but no court will ever take the case, and if that happen said case would be lost so hard) because their nickname/Maniaplanet login gets published if they get caught cheating.TheBigG. wrote:if nadeo is crazy they can do that, but be sure if there will be somebody listed who doesn't want it, nadeo get fucked hard in court.Joader wrote: True, a name-and-shame list as esl makes it for various games would definitely help

Also, ESL publishes known offenders quite often, but not sure if they have a dedicated list for this stuff.

You might want to reconsider after reading this: http://www.esl.eu/eu/ems/spring2013/codbo2/news/218501/TheBigG. wrote:Also as far as i know is name-and-shame forbidden at ESL
I'd say that you can call that "name-and-shame" ^^
