3 playing in a team all allied up in the lobby, 30% of the time we ready up the matchmaking does not allow all 3 of us to play and we are then forced to play with a random pug.
-Most of the time press F6 to cancel does not work, the system seems to not be responsive enough.
-Same goes for ready up, the matchmaking will only ready us up once we are spawned in the Lobby map.
My question is - why matchmaking sets other players in our ally group even when we are already allied up? Is this because 1 of our allies has not readied up in time?
I would just suggest:
-Allowing non-ready players the freedom to play in the lobby in instagib or melee (As I like to do something while I wait for my teammate to join the matchmaking server)
-Make the ready system far more responsive
-Make the ally system more secure. (Don't allow the matchmaking server to choose a random player into our 'party')
This really needs an urgent fix as this happens far too often and the frustration level is 10/10 when this bug happens, especially when we have to play through a whole game in order not to be suspended.

Are you using "local allies" (from the playerlist on the right), or allies from the chat system?
About the responsiveness of the lobby, I haven't noticed huge lags (it can happens when a lobby is crowded) even when I'm playing on US server from Europe.
The playerlist is not refreshed too often but the status ready/not ready is registered faster.

so the allies in the buddy lists are kind of misleading, i think it would make sense to turn off the buddy allies

I'm using the local allies within the Lobby, the allies from the chat system do not work, tested this myself as I was misled thinking it would work the first time.
The responsiveness isn't exactly lag (variable lag depending on the server), its more of the delay it takes to ready up once we hit F6. The server waits for you to be spawned in the lobby map before showing you are ready on the right playlist.
Not exactly a big deal but most importantly I think we would prefer if the system wouldn't pair you up with "You", your "allied teammate" and some "random readied up player", instead of your 3rd ally in the right playlist.

We need to do some optimisation before updating the playerlist more often.
We are looking into the allies bug at the moment.
