Hello all,
I bought today the Trackmania 2 Series with Canyon, Stadium and Valley on steam. Now i noticed especially on Valley and Canyon that always when the Track/Map should change to the next one i get a black screen and hearing a buzz sound, then i have to restart the pc. Sometimes when i have luck i can get to desktop with ctrl alt del or ctrl shift esc but very very rare. The problem happens more in Valley than in Canyon in Stadium it never happened but i guess it could happen there too because i havent played that long now.
Anyone is having the same problem? The problem happens only when the track/map is changing to the next one.
The temps are all in normal status and im playing also on standard settings.
This problem never happened before for me in any other game. I have also no idea if it's a problem from the game itself or maybe even from the nvidia driver.
Thanks for your help.
Greetings Vody
System:
Nvidia GTX 680 (Driver 331.65)
Windows 7 x64
i7 2600k
16gb ddr3
Edit:
Checked now with two older nvidia drivers and the problem still happens.

Re: Trackmania 2 Freezing
Hello,
I found accidently a very weird fix for this problem. I changed from standard settings to high settings and since then i had no single freeze more? If i get again some freeze i will post again but i hope that its really gone now would be awesome. Now the game is playable again.

Interesting!
Where exactly did you change the setting? Video settings?
Or Windows performance settings in the control panel?

Re: Trackmania 2 Freezing
Hello,
Yes, the video settings of the game.
-> Configuration
-> then Quality from normal to better graphic. (High resolution ON)
-> Click on Advanced bottom right
-> Antialiasing FXAA
-> and then only more Anisotropic to 8x (16x caused for me very very small lags sometimes)
-> click on Compatibility bottom left
-> Vsync ON
and that was everything i have changed to "solve" the freezing problem. Yesterday i have played the whole day and had not even one freeze more. Will see how it will work for the rest of the week.
