Can you try to launch directly maniaplanet.exe ? in your program files (just to know if it's just a launcher problem with the graphich card in the nvidia control panel)

when i do that, steam pops up and asks me if i want to download shootmania demo

Do you have windows 8 (8.1) and try to start this game with steam?

Edit: I saw your last link with the error.

Pls download somewhere maniaplanet and start it without steam. For some month, someone else had the same problem to run "maniaplanet" because of this error with steam.

You should get a non-steam version your playerpage, but I don't know if your login/password is the same like steam version - or what steam does with your key.

DIdnt work, did the same thiing. gonna try track mania forever, since you can create an account on that?? cuz i use to play it. hopefully that launches
