What installer are you talking about? I've never heard of something like that before... o_O
Do you mean a file which you download and which then downloads the real installation file for the game or program you want to install, like the Softonic downloader in Germany? Or do you mean the setup file? The setup file is the one I'm talking about as well...

Would indeed be nice if Nadeo did something like that, would be really comfortable to be able to pause and continue the download whenever you want and even be able to save the progress for the next day... ^^
But I was asking something else... What if there was no installer, and you'd have to download the setup file from the internet? Would you be able to save the progress there as well? Or would you have to start over again?

And, lots of newer games use installers that are capable of interruption.

As mentioned, only people with limited download will find a problem.
I'm not an expert on that, but here in europe that is a thing of the past i believe.
Still, if you have such a provider, a friend, relative or school/work inet connection might solve it, although i understand that in that case a box is easier indeed.

Sure, i would be able to download, even through the mentioned problems like speed and download limit. But what i really hate on this kind of situation is, that you always need to save the stuff you downloaded and not get already a save copy to your hand. As you all know, a pc game cd holds way longer than a self burned cd and if you are installing all environments on a HDD or an USB stick, they will be wrecked sometime sooner or later maybe due to a hardware problem or other stuff and a CD is way more robust. E.g still can play my old PS1 games afer 15 years without a problem.
Maybe it just sounds bad, but this is simple my opinion about all of the online stuff. I prefere to hold something in my hand, instead of only having a digital copy somewhere. Need to run a 10x3 TB System RAID60 to save all my files and running put of disk space atm -_-

youre DVD gets broken or it has damage, what do you do?

thats why I prefer digital versions, because I will be able FOREVER to download it ( if the servers are not down )

and c'mon, a damaged cd?! what are you doing with it? i never ever had a cd that bad damaged that it ddn't word anymore...
