[CONNECTION] [TM2] Cannot connect to the server (12029)

I've searched the forums a bit and a lot of the things I've seen so far don't help fix this issue. First thing I saw was a host file thing.

Check your host file in windows (You can find his location here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file)
Then put this file in editable mode (right click on this file => uncheck the hut read-only).
You need to remove these lines (if it appears)

You save your new files and recheck the hut read-only.

The host file contained nothing but commented out blocks, none of those lines were in them.

I traced "mp05.maniaplanet.com" | "5.135.65.155" as it is the one that tries to get a connection each time I load the game.

I even tried with my firewall and antivirus off. When I try to play offline, the game says "Title not available" so I can't even play the game without going online. A friend bought this as a gift for me. I played this in the beta time period when the game was free, but now I can't. Why is that? I can still connect and play on Track Mania Nations Forever, the free one.

Did you check if Internet Explorer was not set as offline mode?

Yes, I checked that too. Even though that's never happened to me in years I even loaded maniaplanet.com with it. Though I don't ever use IE because it sucks so bad, I made sure the page loaded in IE.

Are you using windows 8.1? if yes, please try to reinstall your graphic drivers on windows 8.1. You can also try to restart your router and then launching maniaplanet.

Windows 7 64 bit, this game was working for me several months ago, same PC, same operating system, same install even, same router even.

What is your login? Is it well vasvadum? Are you sure that you don't try to connect to maniaplanet with your beta account and not your purchasing account?

I don't even get to a login screen, I can't connect as soon as I load the game, there's no where to type my login information at. I got the game when it was in the free beta stages and it worked fine then, I don't remember how I logged in back then though. I did delete the game a week after the beta was over and I could no longer play it though so it was deleted before I installed this copy.

I don't remember my beta login information. I just know it should be tied to my email which you can see on my account with this forum.

To see from which account you are playing, please do as follows:
click right on the title "TM² Canyon" and then select "settings. It will start the game launcher and you will see your account.

It says my online login is "vasvadum" and support key is "00600427". This is probably the account I used in beta, but I got this game as a gift and the game was sent to me through steam, and when I tried to load the game, it didn't ask me for a key, or even ask me to log in, it didn't ask me for anything at all, it just fails to log in.

I can't even use the forgot password option either.



The 2 errors happen about 21 seconds after it starts trying.

Please make sure the Internet Explorer is not in offline mode.
The error message is typical for that.

A second hint is that in the past there already have been strange network issues exactly regarding mp05.
