When we say that servers admins can only ban for legal reasons, we refer to the following ones:
racist Names or Comments, vulgar Names, excessive Swearing, harassment, spam, heavy Sexual Content, employee or moderator impersonation, game cheats/exploits.
Of course the first step is to warn players and then banning them from the server and ask for a ban from the game if they keep on violating rules.

Now some servers admins ask players to respect more rules (they don't allow the spawnkill, the rush to the pole or the glitch for example) to have a better and fairer game experience. Their aim is to not to annoy players for sure.
As these rules are here for giving a better game experience, servers admins can kick players if they don't respect them. Server admins spend many time on their server and their interest is not to have empty servers but to offer a place where most players are happy to come ;)
So kicking me because I'm asking why he kicked another player isn't a good reason

So admins are allowed to ban players if they disregard the selfmade serverrules?
I'm really often on the SSM server and i've never read some rules. This are just some rules that some admin has written in the chat and I'm sure just half of the players know about them.
I never saw a popup or something else on the server where this serverrules are explained.

I understand that it's allowed to kick players. It's nessecary to warn them if they don't respect rules etc.
But you didn't answered in your post if it's allowed to ban players in cases like this one. And thats what we want to know.

So everyone can be banned because of an etc in the rules? without any proof?
There are no official rules nessecary if you can deal with them like this. :roflol:

Of course not because I said that server admins could only ban players from their server for legal reasons.

So what was the decision on the ban in sleepwalkers case? Will it be lifted? Or does the "glitching" fall under the exploiting category?

If Sleepwalkers was only banned for a "glitch" reason, then the sanction is not appropriate, a kick of the server is more appropriate.

For the next update, it could be nice to add a temporary ban fonction which ban the player for 5 minutes or more with a maximum delay of 24 hours :)

If someone is annoying and back again and annoy again players. We could tempban the player

you can give a reason why someone was kicked. however i believe no server controller in shootmania has that at the moment.
