tmsilver, the time for a wishlist is not really at the moment, even more for features that requires big work. but it's always nice to see that players will ever want an neverdending list of things. It's why it's easy to always see what is missing. It's endless.

For Arkone & TheM, about the single mode/three env titles, there are indeed deep reasons like Soprah express well. It's complicated to get into all of them without having long debates, since the reasons could be different for different types of players. It's like people complaining when nations was not with united, but others when they were together, bringing too much of an unbalance in united for the stadium environment. It also like the question of ladder, to know if there is one on Stadium or one United etc. I am aware that regular players, like you, that are the most important ones into the game, simply want more possibilities. But it has to be done in also an efficient environment for the bigger number, in order to bring you audience in your top activities as well. If we do a multiple environment title with everything, which is not the purpose of the title at the moment, it could also drain players from other environments. Having only one United could limit our ability to further suggest environments etc. It's not a simple question, and we intend to answer it with our own deep approach over time. I think it's a nice step with the upcoming title, especially with the fact that it's an exclusive mode in which I believe much, and in it's ability to become a reference for the players in the community with some updates I would like to have on it after.

I get your point, thanks for taking the time to answer my question :)
And good luck with the development ;)

- a simple new mode for TM2, made for the only multi-environment title that will support Maniaplanet 3 atm.
- more capacities for items (lights, checkpoints)
I can't wait for release of these!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!!! :3 :3 :3 :3

Hylis, what possible reason could you have for not releasing the multi environment title?

Is it because you want to release another environment and this could conflict with that? I promise you that I will not spend another cent of my money on your games ever again. I believe that most people who bought into the failure that is TM2 will not buy another one of your games again.

The only reason I bought Valley (which had like 0 marketing???) and Stadium² (moar bugs plz) is because of the multi environment title that was promised to be released in July.

The fact is that these games are fading into the dark along with the community that supported you for so long. YOU are the reason that is happening.

Instead of bashing the community with incomprehensible gibberish posts and releasing stupid updates that you even admit are not accepted within your own developement team, you should maybe give more weight to the opinions of the community? Afterall, the community was the only reason Trackmania lived 10 years.
And before you write me off as another "idiot flamer kid", this paragraph recounts the way you handled Shootmania. It could have been big. It could have been great. But now nobody cares about Shootmania anymore.

If your reason is financial, why not add a little piece of code that only activates the possibility of the multi-environment pack if all titles required are present in the person's account?
If you want to release another environment (which at this point probably nobody will buy), make the multi-environment title time limited with a clear indication that it will expire once a new environment is released UNLESS said environment is bought.

You would probably earn much more this way, as people who don't want to pay for Stadium will, and those who only play stadium but might like one of the environments, might be compelled to bite the TM² United bullet.

The reason TMO worked is the variety of environments. The reason TMS worked is the variety of environments. The reason TMU worked, even though it was a rehash of old games, is the variety of environments.
Don't pretend like TMU is different to TM2. Trackmania is Trackmania. Do you think that Rally released alone would have sold any copies? Bay? Island? You wouldn't even have the budget to make Canyon if that was the case.

Well, you can ban me and ignore me and even reply with some convoluted bullshit. I supported you since I discovered TMN in 2006. I never hesitated to buy a single one of your games. Maybe it's not because of you, but rather because the community was so damn awesome.

Unfortunately now, the community is shrinking, nay, dying, and you are responsible for that. This is why I had to post a rant in order to vent my frustration.

I guess I'll go play CS:GO with the hackers and retard kiddies now. WOW SUCH COMMUNITY! MUCH WOW!

Thanks TheM for your understanding. I really hope you will be satisfy we the choice we are making. I forgot to add that it's more difficult to close things than to open because of some players that have great difficulties to understand the multiple angles problems. I think it's because they lack of time to carefully read what we say, but that's another story (t's not really a trouble, unless they become negative and forget to apologize after)

I just hope that players will be happy with the choice, especially the ones like Boo425 :thx:

Trackmania proved that there are little people liking all the environments.

Never seen a promise? Source link please?
Zell wrote: The fact is that these games are fading into the dark along with the community that supported you for so long. YOU are the reason that is happening.:
Trackmania is fading due to 2 things:
- A lot of forever trackmania players switched to shootmania
- Trackmania is due to developments (and/or choice of Nadeo?) of shootmania really pushed to the background
Yes i think TM needs more attention.

Are you even aware of how much they listnen to the community??? We where the ones who wanted stadium to come back to tm2, not nadeo - they listned and turned it over. Our reaction - wtf do i have to pay for it? like they work for free ...
Shootmania is big, is great, and gets incredible attention, keep a watch on lynx servers in shootmania and trackmania - you will see sm topping upon tm..

I think Zell has valid points in his post, the community is shrinking and ShootMania isn't doing great either.
ManiaPlanet 3 needs to bring more people to TM and SM, I hope that's what is going to happen ...

We are not perfect.

But we do our best on games that will soon receive a major update, including solo demos & other stuff to help new players to easily discover the power of TM2: play TrackMania RPG without having to buy the game, or ride the raid with a minimap, or like the new TM scoreboards (with echelons ^^) or play on a cool new mode with multiple environment etc.

I know, it requires patience. But it also mean we are working a lot. So, even if we are not perfect, I thankful for people staying constructive. And yes, weerwolf, we are going to work on TM and still have things to we would like to do!

In two days, we can finally say "see you next month!"

btw1: there is much more connected players on TM2 than on Original or Sunrise (the given examples) With MP3, we expect to reach more than United+Nations, sooner or later.
btw2: Nations was a single environment game.
btw3: since 6 months, the number of players is stable/increase on Maniaplanet, but we would like more, of course.
btw4: I know it takes a lot of patience to wait for all of this (and I know it takes time as well to do ^_^)

what did you expect after 10 years? it's same as there are more PCs and mobile phones than 10 years ago, it's just damn natural...

I never misbelieved in Nadeo. Is just that its a combination of factors.

- Players that know the way nadeo works: They believe in the concept and development and dont complain. (I think i fall under this)

- Players want more information but still believe in concept (People i do not speak of due to privacy)

- Players that do not give about anything just the fun of it..

that is my 2 planets.(cents)

Just keep up the way you feel is right (Hylis) and Nadeo.

I believe in you and your ideas and they where never wrong.

People just have different opinoins... that what makes or breaks a good community.
