French player in Irish zone

Hi lads thx for the replies.

Let me be clear first off. I have been number 1 in Ireland for a long time in United and Canyon. My SP and LP are over double this player. I've had 3 official top tens and many top 20's, So take it from me he is not showing me how to drive in any way shape or form.

I know everybody in the Irish top ten and below and also know that they have worked hard for their recs and times and places in the top ten. So when a new player shows up out of the blue and he takes one of their places it gets noticed. That player shouldn't be able to just steal someone's place, especially when he is from another country and has no business being there.

The thread isn't about me at all so I don't appreciate being belittled for no reason, this is a serious topic and the old thread my old friend zootie was referring to is regarding a completely different game, a completely different forum and happened over 2 years ago. The player in question left the Irish zone and I thought the issue had been resolved but no, it obviously hasn't. As it is possible to transfer ones times in Canyon also.

Zootie brought up a good point in a PM about those "Jesus Christ Saves Me" accounts that are everywhere and how some players use them for throw away accounts for getting coppers and or planets to open servers. Alas that is not happening here.

My intention was to bring this situation to the attention of someone at Nadeo and or find out how to remove this player from the Irish zone. Thx for reading.

Tmarc - No I don't suspect anything, I don't understand why a French player would just suddenly decide to move his times into our zone and the fact it can even be done is baffling to me. Obviuosly people don't think it's that big of a deal.

We already discussed it I think.
Users can freely choose any continent, any country, any region and any city they like, even if it does not match their actual real world location.
Some might just do a mistake, and some others do it to earn planets and LP faster than in already crowded regions where they would have less chance - which we could consider as minor cheating.
But even if Nadeo would restrict country access e.g. by using IP ranges, some would find ways to bypass this.

I know, I understand and I feel with you, that this is a pity and not really fair,
but I fear we cannot do anything against it.

You obviously haven't read the thread or anything I've said. The player in question has nowhere near my SP and or LP, my position has not been affected, however, he has taken someone else's place in the top ten in a zone he has no business being in. That's what the thread is about. I fail to see why everyone is attacking me and calling me names. It's crazy. and I never demanded anyhting, I merely asked how this type of thing was possible.

The thing happened already in 2012, where you asked on the TM-Forum.
Back then they gave you the same answer: everyone's free to change his zone at will and to wherever he wants to.
I could switch to Saudi-Arabia, Ireland or Timbuktu if I wanted and nobody could stop me from doing that.
Now you come back in 2014 and start asking the same thing again. People get annoyed if the same question comes up over and over again. The answer to your original question is at least 5 times in this thread, yet you keep arguing.

A player can choose his zone freely, yes also your little irish subzone so everyone can take your top 10 places whenever they want. There's no rule against it and there never will be.

That's the last answer you'll receive in this thread, ultimately CLOSED.
