I have to agree. You know, I am a big critic of Nadeo and how TM2 developed, but this is a really good update with steps in the right direction. Reworked and unbugged game modes, and finally multi-environment servers. Maybe there's a chance of a return for ET, IF it was not too late and IF there's a bigger player base playing TM2 regularily. What we need is servers like Mistral World Selection on TMUF, which staid there for years and can keep the TM2 community to play Canyon and Valley for a long time on a regular basis. Without this regular player base, it's hopeless to organize tournaments. Let's hope, this update does not come too late and the community comes back to the game :)

For me, it's the opposite.

It may only be good, or too soon, considering that the game can only become better and better with time. TM2 is a journey, not a release, and in that journey, demo of next month will be another step. And there are big ones after etc. Unless a competitor does a better Trackmania than us in the years to come, and that's just good for player anyway then, there is no reason to think that it could be whatever too late. Only maybe too soon.

And this journey is very long because of Maniaplanet & Shootmania. But both are the best thing that could happen to Trackmania as well for my oppinion. It opens much more, provide a stronger combined support from Nadeo, the community and probably a stronger combined player base. So, it's just because it's ambitious that it's slow to start, but it's also because it's ambitious that it is a safer journey.

Slowly but surely!

Probably this has something to do with the unlimiter that is located in the same direction. I deinstalled everything now and will try again...

Ok, now i installed after deleting unlimiter first. It worked... So all map-builder using umlimiter, be aware. If the unlimiter exe is in the same directory like trackmania exe, there might be a bug afetr installing maniaplanet 3!!!

That's good to know. Thanks Lauterer.
The new editor has it built in so no need for unlimiter anymore anyway.

Dont know If I remember correctly from the beta-forums, but I think they are bringing it back or working on a better version.

The legacy browser is idd not my cup of tea either so I mostly use the title-overlay browser.
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

you should use the overlay server at the moment, on the station

you can access it from anywhere while you play by cliking on the home button in the middle of the system bar on top

Not working for me at all. I downloaded the update on Steam, started the game (all my game settings got reset by the way) and it just asks me to restart the game. After that it downloads something again for 1 minute and asks me to restart again when logging in ingame. Infinite cycle.

Yeah.. seems like there is some issues with updating it on steam. :(

Here is a steamcommunity thread about it: http://steamcommunity.com/app/229870/di ... 914775649/
