Same issue goes for me, especially with Shootmania.
The Trackmania games do start up, but can not run the games on the multi-environment servers.
I either receive the message to restart the game for updates, or the game requests to open up the title with the correct game (but there is no correct game available).

I was kind of wondering about this yesterday.

EDIT: It works now. Thanks for the fix! ^^

Here is a live-blog of my ManiaPlanet 3 Update Experience:

[20:19] <Zooz> i updated to maniaplanet 3
[20:19] <Zooz> it crashed to desktop without warning after clicking about 2 or 3 times
[20:19] <Zooz> ogog Nadeo
[20:21] <Passi> Lol
[20:21] <Zooz> it crashed again when trying to install the multi-env title
[20:21] <Zooz> they dont want us to have multi-envs
[20:22] <Zooz> its also hidden as a small icon
[20:22] <Zooz> while its clearly the only thing you need in that whole store

It's installing the title now. Will keep you updated!

edit: It works! There's only one server with crappy tracks, but that's always the case when a new Trackmania game is released. Glad to see they finally released TM2

Why exactly did you replace the server browser with the old one (which was usable before as well but at least it was optional)? I can't even see the slots now without clicking on every single server.

The buddy system is a clear improvement however. I don't get why linebreaks are impossible but to split 1 message into multiple messages works too, I guess.

I just want to say : this update is AWESOME!

It really enchances the possibilities to the players, and when I say it, even when if maniaplanet reaches its "development-end", it's impossible, because I feel that the game is far-far-faaaar away to be finished.

Because new features appeared as multi-env, blockmixing, environnment mixing, mediatracker improvements, and the awaited action maker, it gives new dimension to the game, making it less "cubic" and more realistic.

I think that the reason I posted here is the action maker that I've waited for so long and thought as the tool for videomakers. It also allows us creating our own custom weapons, which is an exponential madness ( in a positive meaning  ).

But instead animation a character in a gray dome (which is a little boring), I always wished to animate in a map.
We already can make machinimas in TM, so if that feature in SM is released, that gonna be a total crazyness.

Shootmania, a future in animation movie ? This is an ambition in which I am really excited to make it true.

New update is wicked. Apart from the long wait during updating of titles, you've done a stellar job.
My laptop used to heat up quite bad....not now

Thank You

One thing, I just don't understand why you have change the textures of some blocks, and especially the texture of the common block... it became so ugly... that grey/black like a road. This is ShootMania, not TrackMania. I completly don't understand that decision, and this texture does not fit with the grass on it anymore (here a screenshot). Really bad.

That make all the look of ShootMania different, this is not ShootMania anymore. Now all the maps are black and white, black ground, white buildings. Why ? That's not ShootMania. ShootMania Storm looked like sand and old stones, that's the real Storm look.

There's any way to bring back the old textures ? I miss them...
Well said. Floor texture grey/black is kind off depressing, really. It may look fancy with some "city maps" but the general impression on grass maps for example is just disturbing. Please give the black texture its own block but at least undo this change. Sand floors were just right.

Another thing: Healpad healing time is way too fast. Now you dont really take a risk by going onto the healpad which takes away a huge tactical element, especially in Royal. Changes the balance a lot, and not in a good way. Basically every player on the server agreed on that point.
