Exactly, the coders can apply the texture on the 3D Sphere Object and do the copy of the current nations adding some X,Y,Z coordinates for the nation tooltip positions.
After when the sphere spin the coordinates spin with it, but each nation have already his info cause they are already coded in the game.
Is not a dream boys, well, if we think they already have the list of nations, and they already have the Calling Methods to the Main Server to fetch infos, they can do it, hmmmmm, we can say in 3 days???!!!
We will see if they will do something like this or different or better....

You know, looking of the name of the "global" program to access the games, which happens to be the name of this site too, i wouldn't be that surprised if Nadeo has already made this, or is in the progress of doing so.....

And then, you could zoom out to, say, "solar-system" view, where there are other "Planets" in the "Mania-Galaxy" that contain like the carpark, the TMX, or other games entirely.

That would be very cool!!! The only menu could be this wonderful galaxy with all the features of the three games.
I explain: There is the trackmania micro-galaxy, the SM one and the QM one. In all these micro-galaxy (that are forming the MG (Mania Galaxi)) you have planets that you can zoom on or zoom out. If you zoom on TM galaxy, then zoom on editor planet, then on the track editor country! Or on the solo campain planet and after the colour country you want .

Would it be cool? Not only the online but the whole menu would be this and regrouping the 3 games. If you only have one game (e.g. TM) you would see only this part of the Mania Galaxy.

Seriously, i think this would be a wonderful idea

Well, the more I read and hear about Maniaplanet, the more I think they're trying to do this, or something like this anyway...because they keep referring to Maniaplanet with terms like "gaming platform," "user connectivity," and things like that. And the one that stands out most to me is "platform." So...what is this going to be? Like a sub-OS, like Windows, but instead of seeing the microsoft logo, we see maniaplanet? Hehe, I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

haha yeah, trackmaniack. Nadeo creates an OS for editorbased games
I really like the Idea because currently we have already all the different countries in TM. So it would be just a cool visual thing!
I really hope Nadeo thinks about this feature. But I really doubt they will include it right from the beginning because they really have not much time
