What I was able to observe while spectating a match in Canyon is that the camera keeps a fix position once the car does not have full ground contact (for example when drifting a downhill corner on 2 wheels).
Before the update, the camera was following the car all the time in these cases. This is happening when using cam1 and cam2 while spectating.
imo this doesn't look that nice and is kind of a downgrade of the spectator mode. Especially on tracks with a lot of bumps and uphill/downhill turns it is really annoying.
This is also the case in Valley, but not in Stadium as far as I could see it.
Also, when watching replays downloaded from the Dedimania site in the Mediatracker, the camera shows the same buggy behavior as in the spectator mode.
To clarify what I mean exactly, here are two video examples:
After the MP3 update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySoUHe9a2Mo (have a look at the run at 46:00)
Before the MP3 update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjaA9wzRAKs (same map, same situation: check 59:20)
Hope this will be sorted out as soon as possible.

Yes I think I've seen the same kind of thing while playing a canyon smurfscup once :p

Re: Weird camera behavior in spectator mode
+1 here!
Saw the same behaviour. It is annoying when one would analyze some replays. When the cam got that fix position problem, I pause the replay, switch to any other cam view and then switch back to default view. No chance if a map is full of that type of trajectories
A fix would be great Nadeo!

Can you send me a .Replay.gbx file illustrating the problem ?
thanks

I think it's not possible to have this problem saved in a replay. Someone needs to record thisdamien wrote:Hi guys,

Re: Weird camera behavior in spectator mode
Actually the same problem can be seen in replays downloaded from Dedimania - I've sent a few replays to damien already
(for more reference check the video links I posted in the first post of this thread)

Re: Weird camera behavior in spectator mode
This happens for me in every replay that I view. Whether it's autosaved, manually saved, or downloaded.
Re: Weird camera behavior in spectator mode
Are you using the advanced editor to watch the replays? For me, I don't have any issues watching replays I saved by myself (after a solo race, or even with the "S" key during an online race). Only dedimania replays seem to be bugged for me.
Re: Weird camera behavior in spectator mode
Actually I misspoke. I'm so used to using the manual slider to watch replays, which is where the camera view has this problem (in the simple editor). It used to follow the car and adjust with the car, but some update caused it to remain static and not turn with the car. In the advanced editor the slider still properly follows the car though. I guess it's still connected as it's the same problem, just at a different time. (Otherwise when hitting play the camera is in the correct position.)
