Downloader problem - cannot install updates

When trying to dowload the latest 20 M update, the download stops every time the internet connection intermits (I have 3G modem, and the connection is not perfect). Each time the download stops, it restarts from the beginning instead of resuming from the place where it stopped. It has already downloaded several times more than required 20 M, but still I cannot get the needed file downloaded.

Is there any possibility to download the update file not from within the game but by a normal downloader?

Unfortunately you can't.

Some peoples with the same problem have downloaded updates during night and it worked.
