Honestly I don't like your idea very much because it looks bad and too kiddy like, if every avatar is animated or an eye-catcher. It's similar to the signatures.
Also it's very annoying for users on a mobile phone. Then the site needs 3 times longer to load, only for some animated avatars. Don't like that
We should more focus on the stuff we write instead of some avatars.

I know that you just want to make some cooler avatars, but it's just not a good place for it , sry

The point is, that when I say "don't think of pink elephants", the first thing that will come into your mind will be pink elephants. It's an analogy to your "no need to look at avatars" argument. If they are blinking, jumping and moving, then you can't do anything else than look at them. That's what we call eye-catcher. And that's just what we don't like to see in forums
