Omg ... Why did nadeo changed all the textures when you just colour everything in Teamcolours?Hylis wrote: Data updates
Roofs are taking team color now
Its just looking ugly for me! I also did not agree with the Metallcolours but ... hey its just the metall i thought but now i had to rebuilt evry single map of mine cause nadeo want to have some roofs coloured ...
I dont see there any reasons for doing this,so please tell me Hylis.

you dislike it, but also, maybe other likes it. would you be able to give reasons why you dislike it?
Here are some reasons I like it, or not:
+ the only way to make colors that are 'fair' since linked to team (if it was static red, it would be unfair in some situation) so team color is a good tool
+ better orientation in the map
+ better link between the players & the environment
- when we change, it changes what players envisonned for the map before, and that's sad

First impression, BLUE EVERYWHERE, NO PATTERNS, ONLY BLUE.
Could you change the worst dark blue background to black or gray?
The gamma is to big, players list is unreadable for me. http://i.imgur.com/GKRWctL.jpg

It's near imposible to distinguish what is currently highlighted when selecting items in the menu with this new UI. Bit too much blue everywhere also and I'm a blue fan. Perhaps just let us decide what color we'd like the UI, kind of like when playing the original Deus Ex or Final Fantasy games, you can choose yourself.

In the next quick update, the BgEmpty substyle will be fixed, so you don't have to change anything in your manialinks/serverplugins

Before I give some reasons I wanna ask what did you mean with link between players and enviroment ?
1.You said there will be a better orientation in the map -> thats not true the new colours are more confusing cause nearly every block is coloured now. And for example in Speedball changing the colours if the ball drops and get picked up by the other team, so if you do not have an orientation before the colours will not help you.
2.You said there its more fair in some sitautions -> maybe you are right but I know alot of players like me who are playing with costum interface so that every enemy is Pink or what ever.
3.The last point is leading me to this one ... after the Mp3 update I playing in a Hellokitty-Pink-World which is not that beautyful. I hope you agree with me in that point.
4. My own negative reason is now that some blocks are changing the colour and some not so it looks like this:
http://imgur.com/IvZW1et which is looking wired.
Re: Maniaplanet 3.1 RC1 changelog (Released!)
0. for the link, it's about the fact that Shootman is colored, part of a clan, with some tech & grounded elements. Having the "clan of the reds" makes him more belonging to the map than just as a tourist.
1. if your map is symetric, colors are making the difference
2. I said that if you put colors other than that, that it is risky. Don't use pink if you don't like it.
3. I would like to avoid too much of a debate, and especially if you say that this is like hello kitty and so it's not beautiful etc. I was just bringing arguments. And most of the time, I take for granted that someone dislikes something if he is saying so. But it does not mean that the conclusion should be different. It's just that I will think for it more.
