Isn't it just a perpetual cycle? night  sunrise  day  sunset  night  sunrise etc. ?

Therefore it can't be the name of a title anymore.
Did you all forget?
Names of TM² titles are locations: Canyon, Valley, Stadium. Actually all kind of enclosing designations.
Next title could be named e.g. Downtown (e.g. former Bay theme combined with Asian style and winter setting, or American Westcoast city like Los Angeles, or Portland).

I don't know what Nadeo planned to achieve the 4 environments of TrackMania², but recreate a remake of TMOriginal seems to be a little weird.

If Valley was not a half remake of rally, and represents a Cote d'Azur-style environment, sure that it could be way more attractive than Stadium itself. :pil

Well we will most likely see a snow based environment, who knows, I would love to see a tropical hybrid mashup of the three sunrise environments or something.

I go on the record saying I love snow, cold etc, and I would not mind at all seeing a new cold-themed environment instead of the temperate-tropical themes that define all the environments available in TM1 and TM2 right now except Snow and possibly Stadium (which is so generic you can't tell XD).
I'd love to see a Himalayan-themed world. There may not be actual roads on Mount Everest -- that just means Nadeo could make whatever they think looks the coolest! :D

Maybe this should be the car for the Lagoon.

What might be "Cool" is to do a Lagoon type environment but then also add a "Cool" change to all TM environments by having an option for "Snow" to choose from.
For example: Choose your environment (Canyon, Valley, Stadium, Lagoon) Choose time of day mood (Sunrise, Day, Sunset, Night) Choose vehicle physics(Canyon, Valley, Stadium, Lagoon) then Choose weather condition (Dry, Wet, Snow).
This diversity could be the big change the game needs to give it that kick we've all been looking for.
Also, on topic, I like the Lotus Elise style for a super car. It's light, quick and powerful. Should be fun on paved or rally style roads.

This would probably require major changes in the Nadeo's graphics engine.

To add snow, ice or wet conditions to an environment could be done by simply changing the block textures, particle effects, lighting and adding less traction to the physics. It would take some work to do but far less than creating a new environment. Deeper snow of course would mean modifying blocks too.
