Hi thanks for all the bugfixes and everything butxbx wrote:Hello!
We're pushing a small update/hotfix for the game, containing a few fixes.
It contains many bugfixes (display, clouding, items, actions, ...)
Have fun!
why did wou removed TextLib::ReplaceText ?
we had 1 chance out of 2 to have used the correct one TextLib::ReplaceChars or TextLib::ReplaceText and I went for TextLib::ReplaceText that since the update doesn't exist anymore.
We had widget failure on all the servers using the latest version of our system, good thing it affected only the nighty version.
And really I don' care if my message isn't constructive it 11 o'clock and I had to fix the code update my servers and didn't have even time to test the new dedicated server.
Stop treating players as if everyone is beta testing here because we are trying hard to get nice things done and if they are broken people stop using the new nice stuff and later on it will reflect on the game.
Edit : I know it is your game but before changes like this if you could just let us know what that next update might brake and tell us what is changing so we can prepare it would be great.

I have tested the update on my laptop, and it seems that I don't encounter any longer loadings time. Nope, on the contrary, it seems to be a little bit faster.

But there's only one problem, it tends to get freezed everytime a data is being loaded. It's pretty frustrating while playing online, I had the feeling that my game crashed after a restart....

Anyway, great work you've done there

Re: Maniaplanet 3.1 (RC5) changelog
I would say : great work, but I have absolutely no idea what changed.
The neverending waiting game has to stop.
Re: Maniaplanet 3.1 (RC5) changelog
Well, the game at least takes ~6s to start now instead of ~2s. Besides that I haven't noticed changes ^_^.
=3

The new ManiaPlanet client (23.07.2014) now completely reads in all Mods while starting.
Mod ZIP files are very big. If you have lot of them stored in the Skins subfolder and do not use a Solid State Disk, the game needs much longer to start now!
But I compared only the current build with the former one (11.07.2014). Not reading in the mods was perhaps the bug in the previous version.!?
There is also a older problem while reading in the ManiaPlanet.zip. The part from offset ~37.760.036 to 37.825.571 (EOF) is read in over and over again. This doesn't delay the loading due to caching; But it doesn't look normal.

Ye Hello to you too![]()
What kind of update you call this ?
The game takes now 2 min ( at least ) to start.
I see a big Maniaplanet screen what is saying be patient. Loading.
I'm sad now , can I have my money back ?![]()
Lol , please fix.
Same for me only longer. From pressing play button on launcher to getting to login screen takes 4 mins.
