Re: New Track Editor
I would find it nice if it was included after all! These words make me not expect it though:eyebo wrote:It was reported in a magazine article that Hylis said they were no longer using the layered cake system for scenery. Somehow it's hard to understand that though, 'cause the screenshots I took of this latest trailer seem to indicate the scenery was layered.
Too much SM-bound... but yea, we won't know until we get to play with the final version of editorHylis wrote:We’ve just improved the map editor for ShootMania, for example, but to keep all the compatible features you’ve seen in our system while improving it, that’s a big challenge.
Like the way you make cliffs: you don’t have the cake system anymore, now we can build the cliffs into each other. It was very important for ShootMania because if you have gameplay landscape here but can’t combine it with the scenery there...

Re: New Track Editor
Maybe you can layer the hills...but it's based on arbitrary geometry, rather than "Mayan-pyramid" style...

Re: New Track Editor
Exaclty, TManiack, a great solution to this kind of graphics is making the kind of smooth, but still realistic, not like those "Mayan pyramides" also called 'stair pyramides'. However, I'm glad of what did Nadeo with this track editor. When I'm thinking about it, somehow I can't wait for the beta too see what going on in the game. But for now, patience...
