Shootmania crash/freeze problem!

By chance, do you perhaps have forced lightmaps to Ultra in your settings, or did you tick "Lightindex"?
Both settings might cause heavy computation at map change, and it looks like a freeze of the game then.

hmm... the usual recommendation here is to check for video card drivers, also network drivers.

And only a perhaps silly idea, try to reduce the bandwith usage of the game.

If that all still does not help, delete the file Default.SystemConfig.Gbx in your ManiaPlanet\Config folder.
It will be created new again, with default settings matching the actual game version and your current configuration.
Perhaps some buggy settings are there (e.g. it prevents me to set bloom and always stays off).

I'm sure everything is ok with my drivers. Tried deleting " Default.SystemConfig.Gbx" and didn't work. I have no hope that i can fix it. Thank you Tmarc for your help and attention anyways, i really aprreciate it!

OK GUYS, now i noticed im getting freeze ONLY when im writing on chat... wut?? sometimes im writing and everything is ok... and then for example i'll write "ok".. press enter and what? FREEZE maybe now you can help me?

oh
to be precise, which chat do you mean? The text chat in game, or the buddy chat?

Does the whole game freeze, or do you only have the impression because it does not react on control?
Seomtimes it happens that I'm still in chat mode and then I can't press eny button except press enter key again to leave the chat mode.
Can you ask your mates to check if your messages appear on their side?
Does the freeze last about 2 minutes? Then it is most probably a TCP/IP timeout.
Perhaps some other application is blocking ManiaPlanet there.
Are you running Mumble, Xfire, Hamachi or other similar stuff?
