Yes, in the TrackMania² title. There you'll be able to select your desired combination. However, for the Stadium environment you can only select the Stadium car.

I have the TrackMania² title installed and it doesn't let me access it offline. For that matter I can't use any of the titles I've installed when I'm offline.

Sorry, I misunderstood your previous question. But I guess you can't change anything about it.

Demented, if you can launch the game online one time, then you should be able to play maniaplanet offline.

But only for limited time which is for me unknown. Some titles will launch, some won't at all. Even if I connect and make those available offline, they won't work after some time again. And if it comes to case that I permamently lose internet connection for a long time... No way to play.

To be clear, I can play Canyon and Valley just fine whether I'm online or offline. However the title "Trackmania²" (which I think is the one needed to allow you to choose a car before entering the editor) does not. I get a "Not Connected" error followed by "Unable to install or update the titles files". Actually I get that error with any installed and activated add-on title. They load and play with no problem when I'm connected, but offline they don't and I really prefer to only connect my gaming PC when I update or install new content.

That's strange.

I just started ManiaPlanet selecting "offline" in the login dialog and I had the same messages btw.
Last time I used TM² title is perhaps already a few days ago.

Then I tried the debug version.
Funny thing, the logfile does not show I chose offline or silent connection

Here some extracts of the log:

Code: Select all

[GameCtnApp] starting game.
[Menu] show menu frame 'FrameMenuStartUp'.

I started it a second time in "silent" mode, where I could enter TM² title correctly, and then again in "offline" mode, and now it was working, but without Multiplayer button, as expected.

It seems the connection needs to be established more often, perhaps once a day?

I've never been able to access titles offline.
I connected to the internet, loaded and played the "Trackmania²" title, quit the game, unplugged my internet connection, reloaded Maniaplanet, tried to launch "Trackmania²" title, got the same errors... Quit the game, reconnected the internet, reloaded Maniaplanet, Checked for updates... launched and played the "Trackmania²" title again, quit, disconnected, relaunched, got the error again..... Three times I did all this and no change. But, as I said I've never been able to access titles offline. I always just assumed they were never meant to be accessed offline.

I would really love to be able to build tracks using any vehicle's physics especially since I was one that suggested and kind of started pushing for that feature years ago. I can't think of a reason anyone should need to be online for the multi env features to work. In fact I kind of think it should be a feature of maniaplanet rather than a separate title pack, although it's likely a safer way to try out the feature semi independent of the main programming.

Usually it works temporarily for 2-3 days with one activation, but when I get a notification that there is a new update, it seems that all titles are immediately unavailable after rejecting it and re-opening MP offline.

I'm not sure why you're not able to get offline access at all.

This offline limit should be removed if the demo is already open.
