Hello Community,
I thought it was kinda useful to open a new thread to discuss about the new gameplay footage.
So far we gat this vids:

So I begin. I watched all the footage and I like the handling very much ( what I can see). Long drifts are possible, but it also seems easy not to drift (for better times). Also the speed is balanced and fits perfect to the environment.
My only wish what I can see on the gameplay, is the engine sound. It's the old engine sound from TMUF, I liked this engine sound from the trailer. If we leave out this aspect, I really love the graphics, handling,... I am very excited about September (release date)
What is your opinion? What's your wish?
Sincerely
Max

Re: Gameplay thoughts/discussion
Nice thread to consolidate this question.
Just from all the videos I've watched, I'm more than happy with the overall gameplay. Can't wait to try it out myself!

There's only one thing to say: damn, that's some sweet gameplay we've seen so far! Hope driving will be as much fun as it looks like.
Though i'm kind of curious in which way the drifting will play a role. And from what I've seen by now the handling really looks some kind of mix of stadium/bay/island. Dunno if I can handle it, since Stadium is imho the ugliest envi to drive. (ofc my own opinion) But maybe it's good ... so that all the TM²-hater-stadium-is-the-best-envi-ever-guys can join us too

Re: Gameplay thoughts/discussion
I like the overall look of the game (including the gameplay we saw)...
I had the idea that it could be in some way... quite easy. Probably its just the tracks.
Maybe i'm just too used of stadium.
Anyway i'm not saying i dont like it, just can't wait to get my hands on the editor to see what we can do

Re: Gameplay thoughts/discussion
Ok, so my summary:
1. In the 1st video "epic fail gameplay":
- in 0:57 you can see the car is better spinning in the air
- the max speed of the car was 369km/h, but after 300km/h acceleration is getting smaller
- the car in some situations can drift and lightly tilt
- in about 2:21 you can see MrBob's T-shirt
- JeRyo couldn't handle the track
2. In the 2nd video "Fullspeed":
- the car can gain 1000km/h
- the length of the track was 1917m; I don't know if it's significant, but I think it means a lot - it means the track was made from 32 blocks, which can be the max size of the track:

3. In the video "Copy/Paste Editor":
- we can see copying tracks is possible
- also possible is moving the track whereever you want
- you can see weirdly realistic editor field
4. In the video "Editor the TrackMania 2: Canyon":
- there are approximately 231 track blocks, here are the following types:
1# 49
2# 33
3# 18
4# 20
5# 26
6# 41
7# 15
8# 14
9# 15
So we have more informations about the game thanks to those movies.
Edit: Wiid, this video is about the editor, but has a better quality.

Re: Gameplay thoughts/discussion
The car goes also up to 1000km/t at around 500 meters, so the space isn't much of a problem if you get fast up to speed.elitechris wrote:2. In the 2nd video "Fullspeed":

If i'm not wrong, they are returned to the FANTASTIC ESWC way of control and physic. I saw less bugs on the pieces during running and jumping....
