What he's saying is as right as considering that someone who steals once will continue to steal his whole life... Obviously some will cheat again but some may stop, which already happened in TrackMania iirc.

Yes, let's compare theft (Which is often done out of necessity) with cheating. They are OBVIOUSLY related, right? Tell me, what kind of drugs do you guys take over at Nadeo? I wanna try some

This reminds me of trying to use real-life physics of chainlink fences and light-beams to justify why lasers could sometimes hit through fences (when it was admitted it was too much work for you to fix it)

Also, why am I so offensive and hostile towards nadeo? Well gee, can it be that I feel cheated and lied to?

"We listen to the community" - No you don't. You most certainly do NOT do that most of the time.

"Fast-paced, skillbased FPS" - Right, that's why you did your very best to slow down the gameplay since alpha? That's why you removed a lot of skillbased stuff from B2 over to B3?

This along with the extremely unrealiable netcode (Well, it is realible... realiably unstable)

And the fact that you guys time and time again behave in a way that is not ony childish, but dam near the point of pure denial! (And ofcourse, now you'd only quote this and tell me how I am the one acting childish with my fucks and shits, once again proving that you're not able to look at yourselves and admit that you also are at fault)

You don't think a thief would continue thieving if it only cost him 20€ to get out of prison? If someone thinks it's worth cheating he will do it again and again.

Although I do think some people will stop cheating and I'd like to see arguments for the list. Why is it important to have a list of banned people? What would people do with this information?

Since B2 you mean? Alpha was slower than B2, B1 was slower than B2.

If so, some deserve to be treated childish .. So, if u be a good boy now, u will get a lollypop from me ;)

If u read enough here on the forum, u do now they listnen, and especially Hylis, which spends so immens much time here on the forum reading all our thoughts, ideas and complaints - yes even rants. Maybe its hard to image for u but every person has its own ideas and wishes, which are totaled innumerous. So it only -seems- to u that they wont listnen because in that comparison only a small part is converted to changes. If these changes are not on ur particular wishes, u feel that way.

Hmmmmmmm, strawberry mjammmi

Who's so naive there? You really think thefts are mainly done by poor people? And that they're stealing what they need? A lot just want to make easy money, exactly like those who want to get easy wins. Morever, I was not comparing stealing and cheating but only applying your logic, saying that people can't change their behaviour... But as it seems to be your case, I can understand why...
And btw, I'm not working for Nadeo for almost a year so even if there were drugs, the effect should be gone by now.

That's called proportionality. Do you think a cheater should be imprisoned? (this question's not for you sadzealot, I know your answer). And as I said, obviously some will continue cheating (the same way some continue stealing) but saying that all will is wrong.

weerwolf & The_Big_Boo

to all:
Certainly some cheaters won't stop, regardless if they are blackmailed or not, and possibly some cheaters will repent and get back to the right path.
This is human, but there is no need to get angry or offending about this.
If you want to help, it is enough to unveil and report them to the right places (server admins, ladder admins, and contest organizators), that's all you can do.

It is a nice touch that Nadeo only bans them but still believes in the good of mankind and in the self regulation of the community.

But to derail to a comparison with criminal theft and to deroute this thread into the already discussed boring points is not leading anywhere.
Since Karim's case is closed, any further discussion here is futile, especially if it goes off-topic.

Please calm down, think if you can give more constructive posts from now on in the forum,
and await the month until the next release is there.
Then we can see what is better and what still needs further improvement. :)

That's why it can't really be used as a comparison. It's so out of proportion. A thief will go to jail, a cheater has to pay 20€ (or less since it's frequently on sale). A thief will have the same name when he gets out, a cheater will have a different name and people won't recognize him.

TMarc didn't mean he is not right about "cheater is always cheater", TMarc was saying about all that unnecassary offensive stuff. I wonder why sadzealot was not banned here long long time ago, sometimes his points make sense, but he wraps them in all that swearing and hatred.

I don't think that this "karimr" is the same Karim we all "love and appreciate" People always have a signature, and our Karim's first login was genocide63. Now, I remember having a MM game with VERY high level players (Screw, Steeveh and others) and the chat wasn't lying: karim was there, swearing he had changed and was cheating no more. He dodged the ban and now his login is coco63 (notice the 63: people hardly lose their habits)
This new karimr/Rimka may be the same guy, but do you seriously think somebody could buy the same game 3 times for no apparent reason? I doubt it.
This being said, coco63 is your guy; the one in the picture, who knows... :?:
