Please report this kind of links directly to the developpers here, so they can check it out.
And please remove direct links to youtube with cheatexplanations or direct links to cheatprogramms.
I know people will find them anyway, but the more links they got the easier it is to find them.

Suspicious online records on dedimania can be reported here:
http://dedimania.net/SITE/forum/viewtop ... id=395&p=5
Serverusers can use that forum to see any suspicious players and remove recs on their servers when those players has driven cheated records.
Offline suspicious records can be reported here http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... &start=180. Records and even accounts can be removed when suspicious records turns out to be cheated.

Remember also 1 thing: 99.9% of the players in TM2 really dislike cheaters, as you can see on Shadi's reaction above.
After all whats the fun in driving a record with a cheat ? If you want to be fast just practice practice practice. Ask tips from other fast players online because most players in this community are willing to help you with whatever question you have. Watch tournament streams and look how the fast players drive, where they brake, which lines they use etc etc. And dont forget to just have fun in driving, because thats what you are playing this game for!

Hi All,

I am sharing Haagse's opinion on this. Proliferation of cheat links is a bad way to fight against cheaters and prevent getting newer ones.

Unfortunately the Dedimania Dev's do not check for new cheaters, that makes a post on the forum linked above, at least for TM2, quite useless. This is understandable cause it costs enormous time and analyzing effort to distinguish between a clean record and a cheated one. Only Yesterday my friend Dopi and I was trying for an hour(!) to get a Dedi time on one map. We are both not really unskilled drivers(At least I think so  :? ), we checked the ghost replay from Dedimania and it seemed for us it must have been some type of cheat. But after maaaany tries we found out that with a need of a big portion of luck it was possible to be fast at some point of the map, even though we couldn't get the rec. Exactly this situation describes the core of the problem. On one hand the time needed to check the legitimacy of a record could be enormous, on the other hand we could be too fast branding someone for being a cheater just because we do not understand how he did it.

That's why I am signing a petition for a 100% trustworthy and fully automated validation way with a minimum need of human analyzing effort to filter cheaters from the good. Unfortunately the actual trackmania validation process that is also used by Dedimania in form of saved VR's is not usable cause it gives out false positives, especially with older records using different internal engines.

This magnificent game simply deserves it. :pil

Precisely that, as well as the false positives for tracks using the multi-lap start, are indeed the main reasons why I never set up an automated validation process of the replays submitted to Dedimania (although I did investigate it quite extensively, and discussed the two failures with xbx).

Since almost all the time & energy I have available for TM/MP goes to hunting cheaters on online TMF (I never race anymore), that is indeed why I had to abandon doing the same in TM2, as also noted by firebreakerr above.

I have nothing to add that is not already been said above. Except that at the moment there is seemingly no one actively banning cheaters online in TM2.
I feel Nadeo can do a better job here. The game is kept alive by the community, but we don't have the tools to catch cheaters.
