Why should the Elite of the gamers play Elite for free?
Only those who have paid for it, and who are worth enough (LP on other titles in preparation) should be able to play Elite IMHO.
If anyone can play Elite, this perhaps gives a larger player base, but then it is just "everyone's title" and not for the "Elite" anymore...

A new player can play Elite... Why wouldnt u like that. Its the gamemode people see on streams etc.TMarc wrote:Why should the Elite of the gamers play Elite for free?

"Sorry you cant play this. You do not have enough LP."
No thank you.

Why would we want this mode to be for the "Elite" only. Btw using this word makes things confusingTMarc wrote: If anyone can play Elite, this perhaps gives a larger player base, but then it is just "everyone's title" and not for the "Elite" anymore...

I'd rather have everybody playing ( including other modes ofc ) Elite.
Why would Elite be "Elite-players-only"? I dont understand your reasoning behind that.
Ur way of thinking limits the playerbase even more IMHO.

Re: ManiaPlanet needs a bigger community/playerbase
You do know what "Elite" means, don't you?
Why should everyone "need" to be directly part of the Elite from the beginning?
There is not only Elite as game, and people should play / train on the other titles first.
Apparently you did also not read my other comment in the other thread, now stop this stupid noobisch nerd slang in the forum instantaneously. Thanks.

I dont care who plays Elite and I never said ALL should ONLY play Elite. Im just curious why you would say SM:ELITE is only for the "Elite".
And yes I know what Elite means.
Stop seeing bad stuff when there isnt any bad stuff. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my post & stop attacking me personally. Thank you very much

I think what TMarc means is that you should try to stop using "u" instead of "you" and "ur" instead of "your", because it looks just awful and it's quite annoying, I'd have to say.novationx wrote:Excuse me man? I'm still curious how limiting a mode would help? Not a single mode is locked for new players... and now suddenly in a thread about " MP needs a bigger playerbase" you make this weird suggestion.
Im allowed to ask questions, aren't I?

btw it's noobish without the "c".

who are you to tell people if they can or can't play elite? lol. name "elite" just means it's MAINLY made for competitions, but not only for them.TMarc wrote:You do know what "Elite" means, don't you?![]()

He can have his own suggestions. If he has a good reason to "lock" Elite for new players then thats okay.Omnixor wrote:who are you to tell people if they can or can't play elite? lol. name "elite" just means it's MAINLY made for competitions, but not only for them.TMarc wrote:You do know what "Elite" means, don't you?![]()

Thanks TheM
I think I don't have to remind you that many other non-english-natives read these forums, and therefore a good language (not in terms of "positive" or "negative") should be used. This warning is for everyone.

And I don't say all my ideas are great, they can be dumb as well.
The topic here is not about "we do not have enough players in Elite" anyways.
But please think of this: if anyone can play Elite (for free and without much effort), soon it will get boring.
Too many are playing it, too many are only playing it, etc.
Of course at the moment we are a bit away from this situation, but if we continue like we do currently, it will happen.
We already have the apparent "problem" with low and even further scattered player base.
If you keep Elite open for everyone, they will always and only want to play this, because they see that apparently only Elite is played on the "big" events (remember Urinsteins very good and valid comment to the SouthWest German "3 national" event) and that only on Elite they can be "someone" and win various prizes.
If you force players to play other titles first, and to train hard on those, before they're allowed to play Elite, my idea is that this could make Elite even more special - since by it's name already it designs something that is not for "everyone". So there should be a entry condition for Elite.
Sometimes, a restriction can be more attractive in the end.
I know it sounds weird or strange at first, but think of it instead of directly denying it
Very mature of both of you...

I did not write you have bad attitude, perhaps only that you show a little bit ignorance (towards moderator warnings)novationx wrote:Oh well if it's only thatI thought I said something bad/negative again or maybe it was cuz of my bad attitude...

Dont call me immature
Please. I didnt do anything wrong and I dont deserve this.
I also agree with ur argument. It makes sens in theory, but I like how its "open" for everyone atm.
