Will TMF custom car models able to use in TM2 Canyon?

i am rumoring that Trackmania 2 could play as one of the TMNF/TMUF custom cars, e.g i want to use Feisar (Wipeout Fusion car) which is TMF model so will it playable?

for your question:

I had the chance to play with the basic parts of the car skins. natively the Diffuse.dds file is 2048 by 2048 pixels and is of the DXT5 flavor. The Alpha channel is used for how shiny the car is and is 8 bit so there are 256 levels of shiny to matte. here is the Alpha channel of one of the default cars.

I don't think it will be possible, cause actually the graphic is much better in Tm2 and that doesn't fit with the cars.. atleast the car damage won't work

Cars from Trackmania1 will import into TM2 but won't display damage. Damage will need to be created for a car if you want that feature. I'm not sure if scripting is involved as parts (hood,door and trunk) will eventually fly off if damage is great enough.
I'm not sure of the vertex limit. I never thought to ask that question of MrBob.
