Magnetic roads. You know? You could go up-side-down or on a wall and not fall down.
The only way to get "airborne" would be with a sharp edge (a jump ramp or simply road goes missing under your tires).

Repelling Magnets, Rockets, Rail Launchers, Explosions, Air Bursts, Worm Holes, Vortex.
The fun thing with space it you can step further away from reality.

Your Suggestion for Prairie sounds a lot like TM² Canyon.
I think the Ocean/Beach idea would be fun with a jeep type vehicles.
The Volcanoes and Geysers would be a blast.
I wonder if an ocean beach and a volcanic mountain with jungles in between would be too much for one environment. You know, like and Ancient Mayan ruins type env.

It would combine some of the more popular ideas like... Ocean, Dunes, Jungle, Dirt, Gravel and Rock. Although, I'd still like to see a full F-1/GT ...or Micro/Toy ... or Space env.

• No Islands everywhere
  A jetski or hovercraft vehicle
  Waves (big or small ones)
  Ramps

I've never seen a game with a realistic hovercraft. Handling one would take some learning, and people who don't like drifting might not like it, but I think it would be a blast.
Of course they could design one with "Advanced technology" that has fans or jets to aid in turning. Put a small rocket engine on the back and look out!
