Chrome effect on cars and fade colors

Post by BestNoob »

Car reflexion on high (default) causes chrome effect at cars and fade colors. I think this needs an fix.

I think mainly the colors and effects in TM 2 are not so good than in TMNF. And most colors are fade and feeling like they are coated with gloss.

You can adjust reflections from chrome-like to no reflection at all using the skins alpha channel (ingame or via external program). So it only depends on what car/skin you are using.

Okay but how to "fix" the reflection on a custom skin ? The Alpha Channel is at most parts "white out"

To edit the alpha channel you can either do it ingame (I think, I never use this, but there should be a sliding controller for Reflections/shininess) or by any editing software which can handle DDS-files (PS, Gimp, Paint.net, DXTBmp,...).

I`m not sure what you mean with "white out", because white in the alpha channel is full opacity, so maximum reflections. If you don`t want reflections at all you need a black alpha channel, so full transparency.
