Feedback and Suggestion for Trackmania Platform

Your eXpansion is really awesome =)

I have tested eXpansion with my Platform Server. (take a look i let it run 24/7 )
I have some feedback and questions.

- Can you improve eXpansion for Platform please ?
- After a few maps and minutes on the server i cannot longer use the rightklick menus ..... eXpansion restart or reconnect doesnt work oO ?
- The server is directly switching to the nextmap without a "timout" or showing scoreboard.
- Server neighborhood - for what and where can i find the serverinfo.xml ?
- Please improve the Checkpoint progress widget can´t you make this like in recordeyepice ?
- A feedback message is missing when you click on "Apply" or "Save"
- Why doesn´t get local record times shown directly ?
- Does eXpansion use the standard files like Blacklist, Maplist and config.cfg also when i use another one or is this automatic detected by eXpansion ? For my platform server i use dedicated_cfg_platform but for my canyon i use the
dedicated_cfg i hope eXpansion does not overwrite it ?

F****** eXpansion has overwritten my whole settings .......... my backup is to old to use it directly now i have to check all configs manually .. please FIX THIS !
The configurationsfiles MUST BE a setable option with the eXpansion installation procedure ! eXpansion also delted some lines inside the dedicated_cfg !!! That is not good (i have set the dedimania code inside the cfg.. eXpansion deleted this entry and also the new changes that are made with the latest edicated server update !!)

Were can i fix the HUD ? I can´t find the file to do that (like you explained in the documentation)
Or is there a option inside the ingame server menu ?

You will need to be a bit more precise about it At the moment with Reaby we try and finish all existing features to make a stable realease. Once we got that we can think a bit more on specific stuff.
But well eXpansion is Built to have more plugins to be added to it, having to much in the core isn't good either it make it harder for us to maintain. If eXpansion has enought success and developpers start coding on it we do intend
to make generalize our core update system to make it work for individual plugins.

I will check this out, maybe one of the latest update broke something. I also remeber somone saying that in Platform there was some strange maniascript behaviours.

It shouldn't have anything to do with eXpansion. You are using script mode?

you need to configure the plugin ingame, open plugin list and click on the tools icon next to the neighnorhood plugin. You can configure where the server information file needs to be saved & the path to your other servers files.
It works with undef's serverneighboorhood plugin as well.

Once again, we try to give the basics maybe in the future but for now I can't say

I don't understand what you mean? Isn't the widget updating?

You can configure it in the Config Files part of the eXpansion setup. If you use multiple servers with different logins each server will have it's own configuration. Each configuration in eXpansion has 2 scopes, Server/Globab

So yes its script mode i think. (the only way to run Platform)

Ahm yes.....but there is no serverinfo.xml ...... do i have to create one ? What should i put in there ?

No. Not directly just after a map restart /next time playing the map.
But once the entry is there and you drive a faster time it directly refreh it ...

Not really ..... you forgot this step in the installation tutorial its not explained (or i didnt saw it)
And there are no basic entrys inside the configfile.

Can it be that you missed to put all lines and tweakable things into the last updates ?

You need to precise what you mean but fine tunning, I will try and check out your server or open one myself this weekend to see better what is going on.

Well yes, the menu is well most important graphical component we have so It must be more then annoying.

Hmm, and without eXpansion the scoretable at race end displayed well. Surely something strange in platfor mode. I will look into it.

You don't need serverinfo, all the configuration is ingame, You define the settings of the serverinfo ingame. So you can't just copy pase your config from xAseco. But mainly the configuration is the same but ingame

You can't run eXPansion without that file, it is the config.ini file in config directoy. The one in chich you define the server port and mysql settings.
You just add this kind of stuff in that file. I was reported that it didn't work. I wil check why I probably did a mistake in the wiki somewhere because I had tested it.

By default there is none of those configuration lines you need to add them. The documentation has the widgetNames and varNames that can be used.

Hey, I just worked a bit on the platform title today.
* Fixed startup error that had no effect on eXpansion
* Fixed Widgets not updating. This was due to the Platform script not being compliant with other script modes. Nadeo and their system where we need to add if else everywhere. but well.

Couldn't reproduce the problem with the Menu disappearing I have been on the server for 2/3 hours now and it still works.

I will let you know when the changes have been pushed to the nighty we are working on some little other changes as well, need to finish those before
