OK, I'm thinking that there is something wrong with your router, specifically the DNS and DHCP settings under WLAN. Perhaps it's worthwhile to compare these settings between LAN and Wireless - there may be just one setting which is not the same on both sides.

Also, did you say that you are disabling the cable connection when trying the wireless one? Not a good idea to have both types active on the same network (for internet connections) at the same time.

Cheers :pil

I don't use a stick like solution and also can rule out the drivers, because I noticed having the same problem with my laptop.

I now tried other DNS servers, but this hadn't an effect. Of course I disconnect me from LAN when switching to WLAN and vice versa. I also tested WEP encryption instead of WPA without success. As I now tried everything possible, but still continue having trouble with connecting to maniaplanet and the playerpage via WLAN (and don't have noticed any problems somewhere else), I think there is a problem with the sever itself.

Why should it be a problem with the server?

Your router is translating anyhting from your network to the one and only IP address that is visible from outside, this is called NAT (Network Address Translation). This means the server doesn't see if you are internally connected with LAN cable or WLAN.

Therefore it must be a issue with your own system only.

Probably there is port forwarding in your router to your LAN IP, but it changes in WLAN mode, so port forwarding is not working anymore.

I just tried, I can connect without problem from my laptop, with both player page and the game, using WLAN.

My last suggestion: Can you test your laptop on someone else's router?
* If the connection works, then your router is either badly setup somehow (blocking) or faulty and needs to be replaced. Before looking at replacement (I'm not sure you've tried this yet) you could reset it to manufacturer's state and try connecting again.

* If the connection does not work, then your laptop is the problem. In this case, I would look carefully at the settings in Internet Explorer etc first - browsers have become a pain these days with all sorts of addons, plugins etc that we never asked for.
With this problem showing up on more than one of your systems, my main suspicion is still with your router...

Good luck mate! Cheers :pil

I figuered it out now!

First I switched back my router to factory default settings, but this also hadn't an effect. Everything worked correctly except maniaplanet and the playerpages. Then I tried an old router and the problem suddenly wasn't there any more. So I took my new router again and configured it by using the settings of my old one. To my surprise this didn't show any result. The actual problem was the firmware of my new router: after a downgrade all worked well. But as the new version has many new features compared to the old one, I won't keep the old version.
I think I'll contact the support of the router developers next. Perhaps this is bug or something else.

Big thanks to you guys for helping me!

Great that you figured it out. :3
But it is not so good that it is perhaps a "hidden feature" of your router. :?
Good luck with the support, and please also inform us of the next steps.

Well wronski, I am happy to hear that you've found the solution. A couple of days ago, the idea of checking firmware crossed my mind but didn't stay there long enough for me to remember it as a suggestion .... der.

With self-serve IT issues, the first rule is 'Be Patient' and you have succeeded. Well done sir - drive on!

Hey,

after writing to the support I have the answer now: indeed it wasn't a wrong configuration but a problem with the specific firmware version (they mentioned some issues with ssh connections). The final recommendation was to install a new firmware development version, which works without problems.
